Right, so this is coming from a NON GUJJU firstly. It's coming from someone who dines there pretty often, with a wide circle of gujju friends.
So now that's cleared, let it begin.
I've known Swati all my life since i live a 10 second walk from it, so i've seen it evolve from serving Bhel at Rs20 a plate to Rs 60. From non AC to AC.
Ambience - Very simple, no frills. Stainless stell seats and tables, easy to clean and mantain. Comfortable nevertheless.

No value for money
The food menu has remained the same for ages - but it tastes good. Is spicy at times though.
But the long queues have made them randomly increases prices and hence now there is no value for the money you spend there!
Like someone said - the ambience is simple and basic plus one has to wait an hour on the road - and after that charging so high? Not worth it anymore -

the food is pretty good. service is quick as they also want hundreds of customers waiting outside to be able to come in quickly. make reservations or reach 30 minutes before the hunger pang hits you. waiting is obvious even if it is a weekday.
very basic yet soothing ambiance, not a very quiet place, it is chirpy and filled with voices.

Good to try
Hard to find food served at hard to get tables. But once you're in there, the service is fast and the food is great, if just for the novelty of eating homestyle-ish gujju/jain fare. It's nowhere close to amazing, but definitely above average and i would say, worth a try.
Panki + Khichdi + Sugarcane fizz = Contentment -
