Searched for Tavira today for almost 30 minutes, the fone is also dead & I gather the place has shut shop 3 months ago. The location is such that no blue blood Goan restaurant would run there anyway. -

Home At The End Of The Universe 2009-12-20
While finding this place had me running out of cliched similes, when I finally did, it was a minor disappointment. I saw a hole in the wall, much like most establishments screaming Goan in bold letters. Except this one did neither.
Tavira's got limited seating but what it lacks in space, it makes up in decor and service.It's been open only a while and we even spotted repeat customers, bringing in friends and family. All this, despite a minor hiccup (the fuse was out and an electrician were working on it).

Surpisingly yummy 2009-09-21
I went in to this place with hardly any expectation, because really, one does not look out for anything remotely non vegetarian in Borivali. But Tavira is a surprise and what a pleasant one.
Located in a nice quiet lane in IC colony, you'd never spot it unless looking out consciously.
This quaint and cozy little joint completely blew me over with its service, quality of food and such down to earth prices.

i thot i shud chek it out...
v had some delicious pork and beef thr!
its juz amazing food...
tho thr arent many beverages thr...they hv 4 types of ice-teas [ginger-lemon,raw-mango,cool-blue,kaala-khatta.]
its a small and cozy place...
and at an affordable price !! -

The Swankiest Foodie Joint In IC Colony Borivli 2009-07-15
Thank heavens we have Tavira in Borivli instead of driving all the way to places like Malad and beyond for the the spread that Tavira serves.Great place,awesome food.The Service is really great. The price seems right for the quality of food.But it should introduce bevarages to its menu to wash down the awesome palate.This is culinary finesse to its best.I'm lovin it!!

'Fine dine' at Tavira 2009-07-14
'Tavira' will soon be the hottest dining place in Mumbai's suburbs. The food dished out is simply delicious! We had iced tea, penne, strognoff, squids and brownies among other items. They were all tasty and classy. The kind you could expect from the city's famous and plush restaurants. It is actually fine dining but without its frills and protocol. Not surprising as it comes with all the expertise of Chef-Restauranteur Meldan D'Cunha of Oberoi-Sheraton and Soul-Fry fame.

Finally some good Non Veg in Borivali 2009-07-13
Tavira is small and cozy and really tasty where its food is concerned. They say it right when they say all good things come in a small package. I don't understand much about the goan or portugese cusine, but one can always understand what tastes good to their taste buds is a good food by and large. The Ambience is cool with very good music and the basic of all restaurants that is its food is simply yummy,

Exotic dishes at down-to-earth prices (VFM ) 2009-07-12
Tavira - a cozy joint at I.C. Colony, Borivili, becomes the perfect spot for unwinding after work, for a quick bite - try their burgers or sandwiches - both are equally yummy. A special mention must be made of Meldon, the owner's eye for detail - right from the selection of crockery to the table-mats sketched by Mario Miranda and the intricate wood-work to the good selection of music in the background! Not forgetting the ever courteous staff and the advice of Meldon in helping one arrive at a decision in the selection of the menu.

Hummmmmmm... finally something good 2009-07-10
After having delicious Portuguese food at Tavira, I can say that, a place like Borivali (W) got a good 'non veg' restaurant.
Ambiance: Its a small place that has only four tables. The minute you step in, you will see the walls are covered with Goan typical local scenes, sketched by famous Goan artist Mario Miranda. That's what gives this place a true Goan touch.
Service: Full marks for service, as the waiters here are well trained and they serve and attend you quickly, even though the place was crowded and they were getting home delivery orders continuously.

COOLEST 'N' CREATIVE PLACE IN IC COLONY BORIVLI(W) 2009-07-10
I'm dinin' daily right from Chilled Lemon Ice Teas,Burgers,Pastas,Cafreal,Steaks,Sizzlers to Ham n Cheese Sandwiches,Brownies & the list goes on & on.....I've had it all.
Man it's a real treat on the quality,quantity & the prices.
I'm been 20 yrs in IC Colony & i tell ya I'm fed up eating in places like Silver Coin,Schumania Rest,Bamboo Garden,West Coast Rest,Aashirwad Rest,Choi Kim cause they serve the same rubbish food, there's no freshness & change at all.
I must say "TAVIRA HAS FINALLY CHANGED THE CONCEPT OF FOOD IN BORIVALI"
