  • Dummy's Guide to a Perfect Sunday Brunch 2009-03-23

Sunday Brunch at Blue Frog comes with a price tag (Rs 2200 a pop) but I thought it would be really beneficial to provide some tips to all my fellow gastronomers on how to have blast without feeling the pinch.

    1. Start preparing for your Brunch a week in advance.
Cancel all your not-so-important dinners / movie plans for week. This way you will really feel that you have earned your reason to splurge on a Sunday

    2. Turn Non-Vegetarian
Vegetarian folks, you will cry and crib your hearts out just looking at what's available for you. Not saying that you don't have enough options but boss this brunch is meat-eaters passport to heaven. And of course, value for your buck.

    3. Weight watchers can walk the extra mile
You will be guilty as hell after this, so again, apart from all the points included in #1 get ready for the extra mile before and after the brunch

    4. Have a really sad saturday night
Have daal chawal on the night, watch a movie at home (brand new pirated one) and sleep late

    5. Stay hungry, be smart
Keep that stomach running with rats- those rats are going to have a ball so let them wait some more. Just reach by 11:30

    6. Get a group of friends to join you.
Blue frog has some pretty neat board games (Tabboo et all) that you guys can play through the afternoon.

    7. Get a reservation
After this review I am sure you will need one ;-) but honestly it was packed and we didn't have reservation and were almost sent back.

So that's the recipe for the perfect Sunday Brunch at Blue Frog. Take my advice and you will proudly pay your bill (and give out a generous tip) coz the service is outstanding at BF.

Now a little about the brunch itself- They have a pretty large cold buffet spread, breads to go with the the most exotic cheese. Waffles, Pancakes, Eggs of your choice. Choice of Grills, Fish, Tiger Prawns, Fish Chicken to go with your drinks. A choice of 5 main course items. 6-7 Dessert choices. Apart from the cold buffet and desserts everything is served at your table. There was an awesome band playing so the ambience couldn't be better!

So no matter how pretentious people seem out there - they are doing their vasooli so you don't need to play Mr. Saint. Just make the best of it.

Come on burrpers! its Monday - so get started. Blue frog is waiting for ya!
