About The Blue Frog

Housed in a 6,000 square foot defunct warehouse in Lower Parel, the club blends acoustic excellence and lush, opulent ambience design with live performances, inventive cuisine and an excellent bar.

Live music runs 6 nights a week, EVERY week, with international artists featured regularly. Genres of music range from jazz, blues, funk, soul and afro/latin to electronic, club, rock, folk and lots more.

  • Excellent Food - but not for foodies

    I guess you understand what the title says. The place is more of a music place, where you come to listen to music and appreciate (you need to learn how to do that) whatever music is being played on stage. Well my experience is a little unique. I had been there on a dry day. Minimal crowd and some Classical fusion band playing. I guess the chit chatting we are used to during our restaurant meals turned out a little annoying for the "knowledgebale" music lovers at the place. Well I think I'll end the sarcasm here and move to my fortay that is the food.

    Blue frog is awesome! I've gone here many times... Ambience is good ... :) Live performances always seem to fill me up with energy ... i feel obliged to write about it.. they keep updating about upcoming artists and the underground scene which makes it just perfect for me... so those of you who who are looking to have a good time just make it blue frog and rest is assured... :D
    Now about the food... Yeah they have a selective menu which makes it difficult for foodies to like it.. umm anyhow i feel whatever they prepare is scrumptious :D not to forget the crowd is awesome!

    This place is a gem but in a weird way.
    its a haven for music lovers who love it 'live'..
    i was conned into going to this place,im not a big fan of fusion electronica etc. therefore the big bias.
    excellent ambiance. awesome food. we tried one of those platters and we were well served. the whole place is charged up with the music n crowd is absolutely swaying n going pretty crazy. exotic dancers,classical singers,international musicians..quite a sight...but maybe its a place for people who have truly cultivated a taste for that genre. im not one of them.maybe the music on sat night    ... read more

    A place that had been hearing a lot about from friends; but was always avoiding thanks to not being really a music lover, so to say.

    Finally Dharmesh a permanent forced me to land up one day a couple of months ago.

    Landed up, paid the cover charge and went in, to be hit by a blast of air conditioning and music.

    Had a couple of beers, an old fashioned & some french fries & left by 9 pm.

    The next time around went when some football match was playing, tried it again.
