The best café to visit any given time.!! 2011-10-18
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is the perfect place to kick-start your day with and I can say this with confidence as since the past few days, I have been doing the same thing. The coffee which they serve especially my favorite cappuccino with double espresso shots is beyond comparison. The sandwiches in their menu are not what you get at the regular local restaurants; they are better than that. The best part about TCBTL is the dessert section in their menu! Man o man… what brilliant variety these people offer. All in all, it’s a must and the best café to visit any given time. -

Excellent ice-blended "pure chocolate" drink! 2009-12-21
Very nice, with a fairly intense, almost coffee-like flavour... at the same time, its very creamy and not just full of crushed ice, as with other chains (barista/ccd/etc)... but i have to agree with the earlier reviewer that its quite heavy on the pocket :( And yes, the staff is very courteous and helpful :) -

Overpriced! 2009-11-22
I haven't had a chance to try the cakes, but IMHO, the coffees are very overpriced. I didn't think there was any difference in the taste/quality/portion size, as compared to Barista, Costa or CCD, but the prices are almost double.
I might change my opinion when I try one of the baked goods (on a diet right now) but the cofees, alhough good, are a tad overpriced. -

the BEST choco cake 2009-08-22
This new CBTL is in the main lobby area of sobo central mall. I've always liked these open kinda cafes. Though it is self-service, the waiters are very friendly and sweet (and cute) haha. I loved the cheesecake but the multi-layered chocolate cake transported me straight to heaven!!!! the americano was perfection. I noticed they hav a big variety of coffees..
Didnt get a chance to try the teas but thats what revisits are meant for! -
