Hysterical!!! 2011-09-12
I had noticed this place a year back & always wanted to visit but never got a chance, After all the boring Saturdays we had, we decided to do something different and the name The Comedy Store came up, Bookings were made Instantly Online and we were on our way. The show started and we frankly didn’t know what to expect, but what came by in the next 2 hours was the funniest moments in my life.
The Comedy Store no doubt is a great place excellent food. The bar outside has a variety of drinks just the food is limited during. The Secret entry to CANVAS is a deal winner of a perfect Saturday... read more -

Russell Peters? 2011-08-30
Well, i've not yet experienced what's it like to be a spectator at the comedy store. Frankly speaking i am desperately wating for Russell Peters to come to the comedy store, chances seem moderately less.. but hey, you cant stop wishing can you? :P I absolutely love his comic stand up's and have been an ardent fan of his. :) Please request him to perform, i am sure palladium will be OVERCROWDED on that day! -

Great Ambiance. The seats are comfortable plus the whole atmosphere is nice.
There are various comedians performing so do check on the site before going.
There is a bar and snack area outside. Great place to relax after a tough day. -

Great Venue for Stand-up 2011-05-27
It's a great venue for stand-up comedy with good seats and a good sound system. Good thing is you can take food and drinks inside.
Tickets range from Rs 300 - Rs 500 depending on who is performing. -

My friends were keen to do something different on a typical saturday evening.
we were fortunate to grab some tickets a day in advance.
priced at Rs 500 the stand up comic guys were brilliant.
quincy and mark wahlberg absolutely cracked us up.
I quite liked the set up-dim lights, low heighted dais.access to eatables and alcohol was perfect for a laidback sat night.
overall absolutely worth the moolah. -

Vagine Monologues - Hindi 2011-04-17
A classy act by all the 5 ladies. They deserve a standing ovation for their performance.
My friend ordered potato wedges (read my old review) despite me telling him not to & guess what- the potatoes were not cooked fully. Since the show had started & we didnt want to miss any part of it, we managed to eat a bite or two & kept the plate down.
Also, for the management, VM is bound to attract a lot of attention from the "wannabe uncles" who come to the show & create a ruckus. E.g. today a group of men were sitting on the front row - right side; they were switching on & off their... read more -

This dude made my weekday.. I think by far the happiest weekday of my working-life!! lol.. He rocked!!! So a 5/5 for the shows performed here. Planning to go 4 vagina monologues soon.
As for food & drinks, overpriced & not so great on the taste factor!! I asked the bartender for the menu for which the dude was stumbling around for 2 mins & then chose to ignore us. Finally a lady behind the counter gave us the menu. I asked for Rum- old monk, not available!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strike 2!!!

Funny ha ha 2010-09-10
Me and my pal were keen to embark on a new adventure in this fair city of Mumbai, and after a week in the office, we were more than in need of a big laugh. So, with that in mind, we plumped for an evening out at The Comedy Store.
Now, first things first, if this is English, shouldn't it be 'The Comedy Shop" rather than the American-sounding 'store'?!
The Web site was easy to find and informative, and the ticketing simple and straightforward. The acts sounded appealing, and part of me was wondering how well the humour would 'translate' to an Indian audience.

Ugh Never Again! 2010-06-28
I was quite excited about The Comedy Store but it is not even close to what it claimed to be!
When we entered the first sight was of leakage everywhere, isn't this a grand opening or something? At least clean-up before you open.
The food was average and quite cold when we got it. When we complained the staff had a snobbish attitude and refuted our claims.
The artists were good but then they are claiming to be a lounge and club too so live up to the expectations please.
Only reason I would ever go back would be for an outstanding comic act! -

Hi! The day you came was the day it rained and the mall had leakage issues that affected several stores, unfortunately including The Comedy Store. We're extremely sorry and are working to ensure that similar incidents don't occur in the future. Also, Canvas, the lounge, will be opening later in July. You'll hear more about it soon and we hope you will come visit us again!
