Cheating? 2012-04-14
My bill (A pint of KF and a diet coke) was Rs. 326. However, the bartender said Rs. 330. I paid Rs. 330, and tipped him another Rs. 20 ( although a service charge is part of the bill). Here is the problem though: My bill was 326, gave 500 and the change returned was 170. Now, I understand it might be a matter of convenience, but as a business you are required by LAW to return me my exact change or if unable to, compensate me in some equivalent way OR find a middle ground. I have been visiting Elbo Room since the time it has opened and so far service was good and so was staff and never had any complaints. But this Sunday was exceptional, in a bad way. I was there with my group of friends and we ordered right from starters to Pizza, Pasta, etc as well as drinks. Pizza base was too stubborn that our teeth almost had to fight it out. Pasta lacked the flavour and was totally tasteless. However, Chicken was good and no complaints there. We ordered Waffles in the dessert and that's where they totally lost it. Thank you taking your time out to write in on here. I totally agree with you that this kind of service is unacceptable. If something is not available the guest should be informed at the time of ordering the dish. I will look into the quality of the pizzas and the waffles both and make sure that nothing like this happens again in the future. Dodgy bartenders!! 2011-11-14
I have loved Elbo Room ever since beginning. Its been one of my fav. places in Bandra and a very regular hang out.
My recent experience was very disappointing at Elbo Room and quite offensive to be honest.
It was a Saturday night and i ordered a glass of wine standing at the bar. The bartender without any shame picks an old filled glass of some other wine from under the bar table and hands it over to me. I immediately confronted him on how dare he hands me some one else's glass of wine and all he says is "sorry" and fills me a up a new glass of wine and says, someone else had... read more -

Firstly, sorry in the delay in responding back to you. I completely understand what you are saying and every customer deserve to be given the best possible experience. Recently we have hired bar tender trainees which may be the reason why such an incident occurred. Situated behind the bustling streets of Linking Road, The Elbo Room is a humble bar with an al fresco seating area (smoking section) and an indoor tavern where one can enjoy a meal on arrangements of high couches fused to the wall, wooden tables and high stools. The walls are lined with photographs while the bar is situated right in the middle of the room leaving little space to move around.
