This place scores full marks on all aspects i.e food, service, ambience and value for money. There's no other place like it as far as desserts and sweetmeats are concerned. The best part being that they keep updating and reinventing themselves by adding new exotic desserts to their menu often. They score brownie points for their sinful brownies.

Service is not good and sadly enough the sandwiches were not upto the mark as well. To be fair, the hype that had been created about Theobroma was too much so it had to fall short ... a good bakery it may be be but the sandwiches were clearly not the best in the business

  • Buy Cakes get Dirt Free Mar 05, 2013

I had gone to Theobroma and was buying stuff. It was about noon. There was an AC service technician. He was servicing their airconditioner and there was dust falling out of it. There was cupcakes (lying open) right next to the AC and needless to say some of the dust was falling on the cupcakes. The owner was managing the cash counter and she didn't even consider moving the cupcakes for a bit. We can only keep guessing what takes place behind the scenes in their bakery.

  • Simply Divine Feb 26, 2013

As a westerner travelling for a month through India, your palette is eager for home food and Theobroma Colaba was heaven-sent. With its range of divine pastries, cakes and full breakfasts, this was my ideal place to escape to for breakfast or tea regularly.

Totally wish a branch could open up in Durban, South Africa as I am currently having withdrawal symptoms without my daily Earl Grey tea and chicken pastry to start me off :)

  • Just the best Nov 20, 2012

When it opened up it was one of a kind, now it has various imitators in the area (Celejor, Leo's Boulangerie) but remains the best. The croissants are lovely and fresh, the brownies chewy and nutty, and of course the cakes and pastries are divine. To name some of my favourites: the chocolate truffle cake, chocolate opium cake (amazing) and the vodka and green chilly mousse. On one occasion I bought the last two pieces of this mousse and had to witness the disappointment on the faces of the people behind me who were hoping for some! Needless to say I did *not* share!! Two more useful tips if you... read more

Millionaire brownie, shortbread. Cheese cake, tiered temptation are some of my favourites. Their chip butty burger is simply awesome. A special mention needs to be made of their adult hot chocolate which is served with a generous dose of rum.

Dear Kainaz, I stayed in Bombay for a year and am so addicted to your brownies, macarons & shortbread that I can't live without them. The same things here are like atleast twice the price. Please get Theobroma to Delhi, I'm sure you have lots of fans in this city.
