Was pleasantly surprised at the dining experience at this newly opened place.
Went in for an early lunch and found staff still settling the place but they all seemed very accommodating and made us feel comfortable right away.
One of the main chefs Mikhail personally came out and guided us through the very extensive menu.
Let me state that this place does not come cheap but after giving this feedback to the chef, was informed that since the ingredients are mostly all imported and top of the line, the pricing would certainly be justifiable. Was told to get first hand experience from the food itself.
So decided to venture into a Camembert cheese starter with salad and accompaniments and wow, was it something! Could perceive the difference of the ingredients right away. The cheese was done just right and the presentation too was very good. Portions too seemed very adequate for two to share. After that went in for the recommended Pizza's. Had a combo of two, one with the parma ham and goats cheese (base a bit maida-ish) and the other with a 4 cheese topping and spiced pepperoni which was excellent.
As we didn't have space for more food, decided to come again for trying out the main course dishes and the grills but couldn't leave without having a go at the dessert. It was an excellent chocolate fondant with ice cream. Also received a surprise sampling of the pannacotta with three different toppings. Another superb dessert.
Left extremely satiated with a promise to return soon.
This place is highly recommended but please don't expect it to come cheap. As an observation a far better option over the villa on the other side of town. Also, the place is very well done and laid out and gives a nice open feeling instead of the other cramped restaurants. Plans for an open air cafe outside are also afoot.
All in all a huge thumbs up for 212. We're going back for sure.
