Ive been to this place so many times now that when i took my parents(i usually visit with my friends) there, they were given a royal treatment !!!
Okay.. so start with the Urban Tadka special nimbu paani.... its a nimbu paani with a zing and a sugarcane stick to chew on! ... u cud also try the masala soda if u like ur stuff really spicy... it comes with big peppercorns and chillies!!!! brilliant stuff....
starters....Nimbu chicken, tandoori aloo, dhuaandar murgh tikka are really good... avoid jheenga fry though.. i tried it 2 times and both times the prawns wasnt fresh... (i try more than once to give them a "chance" :) ) .... also if ur a soup person... definately try Paaye da shorba... u will change ur opinion abt paaya!!
for the maincourse, ambarsariya murgh is my all time fav. u just cant go wrong with it... and so is jallandhari murgh... even the biryanis have the wholesome flavour and the aroma that they need to have.... trust me try the choley tey aloo di biryani... its really magnificiant (and it comes from a hard core nonvegetarian) ....
for the meetha... dig into the malai kulfi or enjoy the jalebi + rabdi mix.... its really good.....avoid the phirni (it tastes like its made from custard powder!)
Overall... good food, sometimes noisy ambiance (dhaba look & loud old songs) .. the service at the mulund UT is brilliant .... a meal for 4 with non alchoholic drinks(they do serve alchohol), starters, main course and desserts can be around... 1500.... a decent figure for a decent evening with friends/family.....
