The Best Gelato in Mumbai - period.

I'd like to point out that this beats Gelato Italiano by miles. Not only with the greater selection of flavours - but the gelato itself - its thicker and more... sinful :)

The great thing is its not only Gelato - they do smoothies, cookie sandwiches, italian coffee and even gelato cakes! Definitely makes me a repeat customer.

Great stuff - a must-eat!

Great gelato

Undeniably the best gelato in the city. A bit on the expensive side though but worth the drive. Very friendly and courteous staff. Overall a great experiance.

Awesome Gelatos

Based on Rajeev's recommendation I decide to check out Amore instead of heading to Naturals last Thur (2 Aug) to pick up some ice-cream to take a friend's house.

It was raining very heavily and I was the only person at the store (9pm). They had about 14 flavours and I tasted about 9 of them. Some were awesome (Ferror, Chocolate Sorbet, Tiramisu), others good (Crochante) and some just didn't work for me (the Dark and White chocolate combo just didn't taste right)

Ended up buying 4x250g tubs and 4 waffle cones to go. Packed nicely in plastic tubs and then in a box. I was told that they would have dry ice in the box but there wasn't any so they must have forgotten. Thankfully I wasn't going to far. They were a hit with everyone post dinner.

Having had gelato regularly in London, I must say that although Amore isn't as good as Oddono's or Morelli's, it was still pretty damn good!

Would love to see them experiment with more flavours.

Midnight Delight

Colaba is moving up...we have delicious ice-cream round the corner :)

Amore is open late and works as a great dessert alternative. Stop by after dinner and grab one of around 15 flavours - these change every day (according to the attendant they give the left-overs to charity - good on you!)

I had a medium scoop of the Berry Crunch in a crunchy waffle cone and it was divine! The portion was pretty large and certainly enough for an ice-cream fan. Of course, they also have a large scoop that would keep the kids happy for a good hour :)

If you are calorie concious - don't worry! They have a selection of sorbets and frozen yogurts that will send your taste buds into orbit, without adding inches to your waist.

Our bill was around Rs. 350 for 6 scoops (a couple of greedy folks had a double scoop each :).
