This place is good especially after its recent makeover. Earlier it was more of a hole in the wall outlet with chefs banging pots and pans and general pandemonium reigning here.
But now the place has metamorphosed into a more genteel joint with wooden panels and potted plants all over the place.
And it is also one of the few restaurants that serve genuinely Mangalorean fare. They have Pulli Munchi Kadi (tamarind red chilly gravy), kori roti (chicken gravy with thin hard bread), sema adde (vermicelli) and mutton sukka (dry mutton cooked with grated cocount and chillies). This is just the kind of food you can gorge on at Mangalorean weddings or down in Mangalore itself.
The prices are not steep and the food is very very good. It is a bit on the spicer side, and is not recommended for the faint hearted.
However, be prepared for crowded tables here. Whether for lunch or dinner.

This place has great sea-food. Warning though - It's not meant for couples looking for a nice place for a romantic dinner or even families. The large number of software companies and very reasonable prices ensure the place is PACKED!! Of course, another reason could be that the food is really outstanding. I've never felt the need to go anywhere else over the past 4 years whenever I come to Mumbai. Great place, Must check out if you love sea food. They have specials depending on the day when you visit them. I just wish they had all the specials all the time. That would be PERFECT.
