Don't Go, Worse Possible Service!
i have been a customer for tunga from last aleast 10-11 years.... though i visited the hotel tunga vihar at ground floor on 7th dec 2008 after approx 6-8 months. i visited the place with my wife and my 6 months old daughter. the experience i had , was the worst which i would have had in a restaurant..i reached at 8.40 pm. there was not much waiting, in fact some tables in the outer place were just empty.. but as we were only 2+1. the manager mr. anand ( most rude person in this industry) didnt allow us to sit on a table of six though it was completely empty... he was just forcing us for other table which was very noicey and my daughter was sleeping in the rocker.
i requested the manager 3 times to give us a place on the sides or give us a place in a/c department... for which he replied that " WE CANNOT GIVE YOU TABLE OF 4 FOR 2 +1 KID). not even in the ac department. you will have to share the table with other guests even in the a/c department also.
i think i visited a good hotel and not a irani hotel which compels to share a table with other guests.
the whole time i waitd for the place , he was tooooo much rough with us as if he was going to provide us food for free.
i think the management should thorw a person like anand because this reaaly effects the brand in every way... the other waiters were very polite but this guy mr. anand was all that bad..
he needs to understand that he is working in hospitality industry and not in some bmc department.
i would be very glad if i would be able to talk to the owner

Not So Good ....As The Name Int....
I have been there , the service is very slow but always you are surrounded by stewarts asking something to order , they don't let u to enjoy the drink , soo i was pissed of and asked them in desi style aab baas kaar yaarr let us get the privacy !!!!!

Tunga Ke Saath Panga
One of the oldest around the area. Between the 2 tunga's we had to survive till the recent past when the other restaurants opened & the 5 stars came in.
Good decent punjabi food, with lightening fast service, typical of the shetty motto of Velocity is what drives the business, the nos of times they manage to change customers on one table, so you will always have someone hovering around asking if they can bring a repeat.
The service may have been slack late afternoons or early evenings & if only food:)

Decent food, sloppy service
As we were looking for an air-conditioned lunch place to escape the afternoon heat, we zeroed in on Tunga international.
I've been here a couple of times before and must say the experience is very predictable - The food is tasty, the service sloppy.
We went for Mutter Paneer makhani, Laccha parathas, one sweet and one salty lassi. The laccha parathas were really thick and had several layers. Mine was a bit undercooked.
The service is slow and you'll have to draw the waiters attention several times.
Having bitched about their service, I'd still go there again.
