Death by chocolate and I am not kidding!!
Le Chocolate Lounge is situated where the erstwhile Roti was. Its location is an antithesis of sorts, with a gym on the first floor. Guess you could say, the lounge is the salvation after all the slaving!!
The ambience here is perfect for a wind down on a Friday or Saturday night. You have the option of going al fresco or settling for a cozy nook indoors. The benefits of indoors is, firstly there are no mozzies chewing you and you have live guitarist belting melodies from Gipsy King to Bheege Hote Tere.
In terms of main menu offerings there isn’t too much to offer between the sandwich and salad options. But then again, when its called the chocolate lounge, you should really just go there for the desert.
You are pretty much spoiled for choice, as the dessert menu runs into pages apart from the special of the day. My all time favorite is “Peace of mind’, and it sure is. With the perfect blend of hazelnut gianduja, cake and melted chocolate, topped off with the vanilla ice-cream and slivers of roasted almonds, you can safely die and have no regrets. Surprisingly it isn’t as heavy as it sounds and it completely melts in your mouth, thanks to its extremely light consistency.
Another sure winner is the ‘Soul Igniter’. An awesome combination of chocolate and brownie, flambéed right in front of you. Make sure you share it with some one, ‘coz it filling as hell.
Also you must to, have to try the waffles here. Probably the best ever tasted. However, sometimes you can get a dud.
when it come to beverages, you can choose between the hot chocolates or the coffee and chocolate concoctions. They have some really unusual teas which are highly recommended and refreshing.
Service is not something you would write home about, as it tends to get a bit slow when they restaurant is filled up, but works for you, if you really just want to hang out with friends and not really in a hurry to get anywhere.
