OH MY GOD

With Lamba you can be rest assured of the kind of chicken that comes to your plate.... it can only be fantastic!

The place is cheap, doesn't hurt you to drop in even when the month-end starts to show in your bank account.

Crossing Diamond Garden has become so difficult ever since i stepped inside Lamba.... the aroma, just draws you in!

Been a long time

It's been a while since I have had anything from Lamba. However, anyone walking around in Diamond Garden, Chembur will easily testify the highly salivating aroma emanating from Lamba.

Just 2 Words - Great Food!

I am a regular at this place. Although there is nothing fancy about the ambiance, the food quality and service More than makes up for that. The food is just the best I've ever had. If you are Lamba's, do not miss the daal makhani & the tangdi kababs. Needless to say, it's the seafood at this place that just rocks. The overall atmosphere of this place is comfortable. I think some new dishes were recently added as well.

The joint is family owned and is currently run by Karan Lamba, son of Inder Lamba, the founder of this place. A great family run operation for sure...

Below Average

This place is too expensive for the quality of food that they provide. There is nothing great about the ambience either. Service is average. Over all, it is just a below average restaurant.

The fried prawns is good, no doubt but once again it is too expensive for a Grade II restaurant. The chicken biryani harldy tastes like an authentic biryani. Food is served in steel plates and they really need to upgrade it to glass crockery.

Drinks and alcoholic beverages are also on the expensive side. There is no ventilation for smoke to go out. Very congested and uncomfortable.

Worst Quality of Food and Service

I used to frequent this place often for the food. After one of the owner passed away, need for service and quality gradually disappeared as the younger generation took over. Quality of food now has deteriorated to below levels where hygeine is suspect while the cost of food has escalated three fold. The young turks are highly arrogant and inflexible.

Strictly an avoid if you want your stomach to be in order the next day. Liquor is highly suspect too and you may just end up with a swollen head.
