Quality wise that is, it really is a ride down hill. There was a time when one could swear by the Biryanis and the mughlai dishes of Lucky but now it is better to skip it and move ahead.
The price may look reasonable but the portions are fare too less than what is expected. The service is sloppy and unfriendly and the hygiene levels are low too.
Have been a regular here before especially cause the Biryani used to be extremely tasty with the tender meat and the potatoes and the rich masala. Hope the management mends its ways and regains the lost glory of this once landmark restaurant.

we have an office in BKC and we used to order from Lucky every alternate Friday as all the guys in Office loved Biryani.
In the past few weeks we have been noticing that the the masala in the Biryani is reducing in qty. when we asked whay so, we got a very rude reply from the guy on the couonter.
A suggestion was made to pay for extra masala.
But if we had to pay fro the masala and also Biryani separatley then might as well order biryani from somewhere else.
So my opinion about Lucky in bandra had crashed drastically after this repeated hapenning.

Lucky seems to put that extra special something in the bryani that they serve. The bryani is light, non oily with good portions of chicken and is just awesome.
I would say in the past four years that I have been eating food from them I have experienced nothing less that excellent food. The tandoori chicken that they have is blended with the right amount of masala and is incomparable.
Guys here is one place that is more than value for money.

Lucky serves amazing non vegetarian mughlai food & its very reasonably priced. Almost every one who comes here goes for the Chicken Biriyani. You get one of the best biriyanis in the city here..although I must say that the quality of the biriyani has declined over the years. Prawn Kolhiwada is a must-try...Its spicy & so crisp that its gonna be one of the dishes that u'll always order when u come here.
Vegetarian dishes are hardly worth a try!
