Never disappoints - until you get the bill.
Trattoria is the well adored TAJ President retaurants most cuffe-paradians have been to at least once.
After their recent renovation ambience is great except for the fact that for some reason everyone there loves to talk loud... real loud - so don't expect any soft intimate conversations here, stand on chairs and shout across the table.
The food never disappoints. Mainly the pastas and the pizzas.
Service is what you'd expect at any TAJ - excellent always.
However, be prepared to empty your wallet, this place is hella expensive.

Totally Agree about the Noise
Excellent food and the Chef is a dear - I was all uppity because I'm on a low cal diet and he made me something that I could eat without worrying about my weighing scale and it was DELICIOUS!!!

Noisy Ambiance - Great Food
Without a doubt one of the best places in town in terms of quality italian food.
The veg lasagnia and the spring pizza are top notch. Service is good as well however the biggest drawback here is its ambiance. Over crowded and overly noisy. Not a place i would like to sit and hang out for hours while enjoying great food but better apt for a quick (contrary to other reviews where service was found slow) meal and move on to wink next door.

THE BEST
This place has been getting the best restaurant awards since years and the way things are going it will do so in future too. The food is great and service fast. ONLY setback it is too too too noisy

Painfully Slow Service
Having patronized "TRATTS" since my college days along with "SHAMS" in its old avtaar in the late 70s & early 80s, I find that when ever I visit it nowadays I find their service painfully SLOW!!
The food over the years/decades is still as good or bad as before, though a lot more expensive.
Every other table at dinner time seem to be celebrating someone's birthday so as to avail of their free 1/2 kilo chocolate cake [ save out on dessert?].
The Granita is still as good just as the pizzas & pastas.
What makes the meal tiresome is the rather long wait for the food & the waiter to appear & the poor service esp. when you have hungry folks at your table.
