50% less

Sorry guys, this does not refer to the discount offered to us at this restaurant but the change I observed last time we went there.
On Friday,I managed to book a table for 7 at the above mentioned place. As I entered my much loved restaurant,I had mixed feelings of shock and suprise. They had changed the interiors which had a favourable effect on the ambience. It had an elegant and classy effect. However,I was shocked to note that the seating space had been reduced by the half...That was where the first experience of less than 50% came in...

The next is ordering drinks. They took the orders and then after a while announced that a particular brand of whisky was not available.Since it was unusual to not stock that particular brand of whisky and on top of it not knowing beforehand was a bit shocking.

Then came the ordering-the-dinner part where i was shocked to see that the menu was somehow smaller than before. Then I realised that they had scrapped the entire array of Chinese dishes save for some soup and starter varieties.
The dinner was not so special and nothing to write home about. In fact we were disappointed by the fact that the Chicken Biryani was not available and they would take another 15-20 minutes to get it ready. Here I was confused as to"Is the Biryani so good that it was finished? or "Was it so bad that there are no orders and hence they don't take the trouble of making it?"

While ordering dessert, they listed me the various desserts available only to inform me later that my choice was not available.
I then had truffle pastry with Vanilla ice cream and it was the only highlight of the evening along with the service of this really humble steward who was bearing the brunt of my father's complaints silently and in good humour.

The only other thing worth mentioning is the roti preparation which is from wheat and tastes absolutely delicious.

It troubles me to note that my favourite restaurant has compromised on it food and quality and i sincerely want it to improve.

The expenses for 7 people with drinks and desserts were 3850.

The name says it all!!Freshly prepared food amzing starters..have been here many times...everytime the food is fabulous...you can also see the rumali roti being prepared in the kitchen..that makes it all the more amazing....

Be it with family or friends it has always been amazing experience...Its moderately priced and you can also have hard drinks along with your menu..There is no hurry and the ambience is great...The place is nearly empty on week-nights...so land there and you can also be privileged to have the restaurant all to yourself...
please feel free to order chinese and punjabi...as you are sure not to be disappointed....
