Fascination for Roomalis
Ever since I can remember, I have spent all my childhood Sunday evenings at Copper Chimney. What used to fascinate me most about Copper Chimney is their kitchen with glass windows - with their chefs tossing the Roomalis till the ceiling. The taste of their Roomalis and Paneer Butter Masala are etched firmly in my taste bads and I pray they never change the preparation. Their Paneer Tikka is also worth dying for. This is the place that drew me to Punjabi/Mughlai food. Also, the other Copper Chimneys around the city don't come remotely close to this one.

An Institution / landmark in "North Indian" food
Being a punjabi myself, I still can't resist the food dished out at Copper Chimney over the decades....the restaurant which has consistently catered to 3-4 generations at a go & won them all over.
Chicken Chop [ their USP], Ab-e-hayat soup, Dum Aloo Kashmiri, Paneer makhni[mussalam], butter chicken, Burrah Chop, chelo kabab, Kadak masala roomali, Dal makhni, Kabuli naan, cheese & garlic naan, Khumb Makai Paneer are my all time favourite dishes on the menu which have been tried & tested repeatedly over the decades.
Not to forget their famous green chutney.....a meal by itself when hogged with papad & onions.
Even though the food is a bit on the sweeter side to cater / appease to the large gujju clientele.
My vote for the best indian restaurant for punjabi / mughlai / North Indian food.

Hell.. i really like this Place !
I dont know why people dont like this restaurant. It think its pretty good. Their buffet is great and there is a good choice for vegetarians !
The Murg Makhani is the best ! I also like the Chello Kebab. I think their show kitchen gives a bit of life to the place !

Disappointing
was there for a late lunch today. wow.
disappointing is the word. There was a 15 min wait for a table but we got a nice one. The place is very well done up. the ambience is superlative, modern and the seating spacious and comfortable.
The staff itself is very much involved in making sure you have a good experience.
We were there for the buffet and man it was half baked, both in quality and quantity.
I usually compare most north indian buffets to the one at Indian Summer who in my opinion have the best offering and services for a buffet.
At the Indian Summer starting out you get pani puri, dahi puri, dosa, soup which is brought to your table.
At the CC yo had to get up and get your one aloo chat (good) and soup (weird) the rest of the food was one kesari paneer (mucho weird)a corn dish (v.good) noodles, fried rice, dal makhani (v.good) along with a selection of salads.
The dessert was ice cream & brownie (good) almond souffle (eww) and some strawberry thing that was bitter.
The damage for 2 buffets + 2 diet pepsi 900 (20$)
At the end of the day the overall experience was pretty weak and i wouldn't recommend the buffet to anyone. Indian Summer is a hands down winner if anyone wishes to lunch buffet style.

Northern Hospitality
An honest opinion about this restaurant is all that I will be giving you right now.
The experience is quite royal and the staff are alert ,hospitable and constantly on their toes to make sure that you are having a great time.
The decor catches your attention as soon as you land here and the seating is extremely comfortable too.
The menu does not have a very large variety but offers some interesting north indian and mughlai dishes.
The aloo chaat served with pudina chitney and spicy chilly pickle was the ideal starter.
For the main course you must try the the veg kheema which is one of the best mushroom creations i have ever come across.The malai kofta and black dal were rich and creamy .The kadhai chicken was tender,fresh and a perfect blend of spices just enough to retain the chickens natural taste.
The roomali roti supplements the dishes as they are very heavy and the serving sizse is also very large.
Overall a very good dinning experience at a moderately high cost.
Excellent service, good ambience ,excellent quantity and good quality can be said.
