Woodside Inn has a very narrow niche in the Mumbai dining scene. Firstly it has Wi-Fi (freeee) so its the perfect place to grab your laptop and read the news with morning coffee (or beer if that's your fancy) with a bunch of friends, of course. Had lunch here many times - the pastas are perfect, and the price is just right for the portions. Drinks are a bit expensive (non-alcoholic mainly) but still up to par of what you'd expect.
Great place, give it a try.
One negative - the last time I went the Pizza oven was mysteriously not working and there were out of lemon ice tea - at lunch time.
P.s. - the only complaint I have is the service. The waiters are really nice and do their best but sometimes they mess up their English and don't know the menu as well as they should.

After woodside inn got it's much needed face-lift it warranted a visit, so we went there for a quick dinner the other night. I was pleasantly surprised. No, it's not gourmet fare, but if your looking for a chilled-out place with easy, uncomplicated food, then this place might be to your liking. And the whole place has wi-fi and they serve alcohol! Nice.
The menu is not an extensive one. A couple of salads (and i mean 2 or 3), some starters, pastas, pizza, and some main courses (i think 4 dishes if i'm not mistaken).
Ordered fried calamari and the four cheese pizza to start with. The squid was delicious and fresh and cooked to perfection (not chewy at all). The pizza was better than any of the big pizza-chains in town, the crust thin and lots of yummy stringy cheese. We also ordered 2 sandwiches to take away; a ham-n-cheese and a roast beef on baguette. The ham n cheese was soggy n gross by the time we got home and the roast beef is still lying uneaten in the fridge! The total bill was about Rs 1300, which included two alcoholic drinks. Not bad i say, though i'm definitely giving the sandwiches a miss the next time! Vegetarians have a decent amount of dishes to choose from.
The place is cute and has a cosy lil bar area downstairs and a dinning area above. There are photographs hung on the wall, taken by various photographers, which are for sale. The waiters are attentive without being in-your-face.
So all-in-all its a place to come after work, or hangout with friends, have a few beers, wash it down with some starters. Worth a check-out.
