lot of restraunts in bombay are pretenders. they have a fancy european menu but they dish out unauthentic rubbish. ive been here once and was unimpressed with the pizza..which had a overly crispy salty base!!. the sandwich was reasonably good but since when were sandwiches difficult to make properly. fondue was so-so too. the next time i went there i was alone and they sent me upstairs where they offered me the worst table in the house (even tho the place was half empty), i asked for another table but they were unwilling so i left.. bye bye indigo deli.
GO TO DON GIOVANNI at atria mall...this is the real deal folks!

I did read so many good comments here and decided to give it a try and had one of the worst culinary experience ever. Soup menu was very very limited
(total of 4 choices) and only one of them was hot soup. I went for mushroom and cheese soup. It was thick but bland! With that miserly quantity I wished they would have taken 50 bucks more and filled the bowl!
It went downhill from there. Service was pathetic. I waited for 15 mins to get a glass of water. Garlic bread was average at best. Sandwich was extremely fatty and odd tasting. I was in no mood take it anymore so decided to bail out and hit good ol' Mondy's. While I was paying I decided to fill the feedback form and I was shocked to see that they don't think their service, food, ambiance or overall cannot be poor! They had only three choices 1. Excellent, 2. Good, 3. Fair. It is good to be confident but this is over confidence and arrogance. I decided to make poor an option and made a small box against it and checked :D :P
But seriously it ruined my evening. I would strongly advice against it.

Saw the guy behind the dessert counter, lick his fingers and then place the tarts in the display with his bare hands. GROSS!!!!

Everyone knows that Indigo is the best restaurant in Mumbai, and it's delicatessan cousin is not too far behind! The Akerkar's have once again re-affirmed their rightful position on the absolute top of Mumbai's culinary scene with Indigo Deli. Global Deli Classics such as Philly Cheese Steak, Eggs Benedict and the good old Cheeseburger are the obvious favourites, and would please the most discerning international palette. For those venturing beyond the traditional Deli fare, the grilled prawns are fantastic, as are the pizzas, which have the best thin crust I have had in Mumbai. But what makes the Deli truly worldclass is the eclectic selection of wines, cheeses, meats, breads and pastries, to stock up your refrigerator with. They seemed to have drastically improved their service, which was a bit slow in the past. Make sure that you reserve a table though, since the waits can be super-long, especially on weekends. All in all, the second-best restaurant in the city, second only to its Older cousin.SUPERB!
