It is located very close to Jalvayu vihar. Parking is def a prob if you are visiting before 9:30 pm after which you can park your vehicle on the road….
Interiors are pretty flashy …. And if you are looking for class, this is def not the place….
Ambiance: strictly ok ….with adjacent tables placed very closely……u ll have to try real hard not to over hear what others around you are talking….
My impression generally is that most of the starters served are pretty good…where as main course is very average…. Soups are average, nothing great….for starters have tried chilly chicken & sparkling spinach chicken…were damn good…however wok chicken , pot rice and other main course dishes were very average….for the kind of place it is, its slightly over priced…..
Overall, average Chinese fare…nowhere close to mainland china!!!!

This is on place in HIranandani I'd really recommend.
I've once been with friends and ordered 3 types of noodles alone and they were all different and yum. The woks, burnt paneer (yeah thats the real name -imagine the guy makes his dough by dishing out burnt food!) and chicken was really good.
Soups are ok kinds.
I've wanted to try the fried ice cream but 3 times that I've been there and asked for it, Its never been available. Infact the availability of the dessert of your choice is very slim (atleast on weekend nights).
Service is really good, no pushy waiters but good advice on food options you are in the mood for. Valet parking is not available, and parking options is limited to the deserted wasteland jut next to it.
I like this place better than Mainland China ! Yeah I know I'm going to be beaten by some loyal fans of theirs, but so be it.

Well... I went for lunch to this place yesterday...
Basically, I ordered-
1. Veg. Korean Noodles
2. Two Lemon Iced Teas
3. Vegetables in Sapo Sauce
4. Crackling Spinach Chicken
5. Crispy Vegetables
6. Fruit Punch
7. Cold coffee with ice cream
8. Veg fried rice
9. Chicken in wok sauce...
The damage was only Rs 1328
Basically when we came in, the ambience was quite okay... They are trying to look very Mainland China and China Gate type, but they are not very close to it... The place is quite spread out and quiet.. They have discovery travel and living playing in the background.. We had to ask for chopsticks as they were not provided on the table and yes, they were quite old.... Places like Oriental Wok in The Club throw away the chopsticks after about 3-4 uses... These were stained yellow..
The service was **BAD**... They got the Iced Teas and the non-veg starter very fast, but my dad and I were eating the starters and my vegetarian mother and her sister were waiting for theirs... We were waiting for our drinks to come..
Now, let me comment on each food item we ordered--
1. The noodles were quite good, just like any other restaurant.
2. I did not have a chance to try out the iced tea, but my mother said that it was a little too sweet... Also, like every proper chinese restaurant gives their customers complementary chinese tea (boiling water with tea leaves... DAMN GOOD!), they did not give it to us. Also they did not have it on the menu..
They also did not give us Kim Chi which is also free in every restaurant.. Also, only after a little persuation did they give it to us.
3. Vegetables in sapo sauce were like the chef dumped some cauliflower, a little mushrooms etc. into a kind of sauce.. There was nothing great about it... Nevertheless it tasted quite average...
4. The crackling spinach chicken was *AWESOME*... It was like fried spinach with a little sugar on it with chicken.. It tasted as good as the spinach chicken in Oriental Wok.
5. The crispy vegetables were DISGUSTING... It was very very very hard and I couldn't chew it. I wear braces and I thought I would break them or something. I almost choked on one piece. We complained to the waiter about this and he sent us a replacement, which was not better... We then sent it back. One of the waiters told us that it would be charged. We told him that the cost is not the concern... In the end he did remove it from the bill...
6. I dont know about the fruit punch, but it looked quite normal.
7. The cold coffee was quite okay.. Even though it was for Rs 130 the helpings were measly. It had a little scoop of ice cream to go along with it... It was quite flat... It had no zest in it... I would have preferred if I would have had cold coffee with whipped cream and ice cream for about Rs 70!
8. The fried rice and chicken in wok sauce were good.. The chicken was awesome... They served it in a pan over a fire... Well I didnt describe it properly but they served it like fondue, only thing that instead of the pot it was a pan...
All in all, it was an average meal at an average restaurant.. I suggest you go to Jughead's or to some place in Galleria instead...
We werent too satisfied with the meal so we went to Nature's Basket near by and bought ourselves some London Dairy Ice Cream!!

China Valley represents a middle path between a cheap Chinese takeaway joint and, say, a Mainland China.
In short : Good (not great) food; strictly alright ambiance - not for fine dining; moderately expensive for a complete meal - around Rs 350 per person with starters, main course and drinks; very reasonable if filling yourself is the primary focus (at around Rs 150 per person - *refer to the end of paragraph 2).
----------
The interior decor is gaudy - they've tried to make it feel Oriental but it just doesn't. They have Aaj Tak running in the background and Aaj Tak being Aaj Tak aired a 30 minute WWE match preview the day I happened to be at China Valley. I wouldn't recommend going here for a 'fine-dine' experience.
The Chicken Fried Rice is the pick of the bunch. Light and with a whole lot of flavour! It's not overloaded like the Indian Chinese we're used to. For starters the Lap Chi Ke (I'm really not sure about the spelling here) is my favourite and is probably what they'll recommend. The Roast chili pork is a good accompaniment for the rice. Nothing exceptional about the chili chicken or the sichuan chicken - same old, same old. *You could also try the Chili Garlic Pot Noodles - an 'all in one' meal of sorts. The noodles is cooked with a slight gravy and served with chunks of chicken on top. At Rs 150 this represents real value.
I would strongly disagree with the previous review stating that this place is better than Mainland China. It isn't a patch on Mainland but then again it isn't in the same league. It is what it is - a place for reasonably priced good (good and not great) Chinese food.
The 4 stars is for the quality of food and the economic flexibility. Geographically, it's the best place for Chinese in Hiranandani - better than the trash they serve up at Rodas. But rumour has it that Mainland's opening here. Here's to a battle of kick-ass offers!
Cheers,
Ritwik.

welcome drink, awesome variety of soups, great seafood - lobster & crabs. amazing flat noodles - very thin and verrry tasty.
This place is much better than Mainland china & chopsticks. More progressive than Kamling and ofcourse way more variety than Golden Dragon! Whats more - eggless food is available!! I'm not a fish eater - but thier lobster made me an instant convert! Been going there atleast 7 times in the last 4 months. Its right outside Jal Vayu Vihar in Hiranandani Gardens, powai and adjoining a restaurant called Utsav. Its on the main road and easy to find.
