I went here to try the authentic Kerala food. The pongal was in fact amazingly mouth-watering and smelled excellent!
The payasam had the right cocunut tinge and tasted great. The service guys were well versed with the menu and explained me clearly what goes into every dish. This place has done everything possible to be authentic and we must appreciate that.
Three cheers to such restaurants and the people behind it!

I am a regular at the Rice boat,Andheri and love their food and simple elegant decor ,ambience and above all the food.Unfortunately my last 2 experiences have made me rethink!!
In my earlier visit the mutton dish was just bones and no mutton. This was highlighted to the manager who did not charge me when i complained. In the 1st place when you do not have adequate portions to serve just mention the same and do not give the customer leftovers!
This recent visit took the cake!.
To begin with i ordered for the main course with butter milk and papad , the waiter was informed to get the buttermilk in advance before the meal..a good 15 min later it came after a reminder. The main course was served sans the papad.this was highlighted to the manager. To add to the bad service after that the waiter serving the rice and curry dropped it liberally sprinkling rice on the table making it look like a war hit zone!.The Manager was apologetic but they need to spruce up their service!!

The veg sadhya, laid out on a banana leaf, was terrific. The restaurant interior is sleek and modern-looking with aquariums in the walls.
