Went to Nukkad recently and was quite disappointed. The ambience is nice and the place has a separate bar and sheesha section but I was very disappointed with menu. Very limited and certain items have been scratched off the menu (literally scratched off with a marker pen) For a place that's charging Rs.100/- on an average per vegetable serving, this is not acceptable.
The food certainly didn't taste worth the price as well. The restaurant mainly serves north Indian delicacies but they seriously need to do something about their chef. Almost all the vegetables tasted sweet! Imagine having a Kadai Panner which tastes sweet! There was a general lack of salt and spices in all the food. We had ordered hara bhara kababs, Panner Tikka, Kadai Paneer, Methi Malai Mutter, Aalo chaat, Dal Makhani and Masala fried papad. Out of the entire order, we liked the papad the best.
Another gripe I had was with regards to the service. The waiters have not been trained well enough to serve and clear the tables.
Nukkad really needs to make some major changes in it's menu and service to rope in the punjabi food hogger!

The name NUKKAD suggests a roadside joint with some bambaiya cuisine however this little joint coming out of nowhere in the middle of Chowpatty, is quite a treat! Very cosy ambience with equally matching dishes on the menu, this new place took me by surprise. The chaats and the assorted platter were quote tasty. Though the menu is not upto the mark, with names added in pencil and rates of dishes scracthed by a pen. With a little more attention to the details, this joint can be quite a hit!
