just been here once quite a cosy place if one wants to have a good conversation one can have their privacy .this place is away from the crowd and noise has a good set up the place has been lit up beautifully with lanterns which catches one's attention did not eat much just had cold coffee which was excellent did not go through the menu much to know what exactly they serve... although i would agree with one of the previous review the service needs improvement
if open to suggestions could play more soulful music such as john denver, cliff richard.etc
and to end it a smile on all the employee's face could make a customer feel more welcome

I should have done this earlier... considering I've been here at least 50 times since it has opened up....
The place is perfectly located... in a bylane in Worli... close enough to seaface to be cenral and far enuf from the madding crowds... and true to its name it does hv a magnificant Banyan Tree at the gate...
the place isnt huge, but very warm... as are the staff.. service is however a little slow...
Banyan Tree boasts of an excellent menu... i've never gone wrong with anything I've picked... the choice is however limited... which is a worry since being the only cafe in Worli, it has the burden of becoming a regular hang out to many.... The gooey choco cake is sinful... the grilled chicken perfect... the lavazza mocha wonderful....
they also stock a brilliant multi grain loaf which at half price after 8 pm is a steal...
and if you are into soup... their BT minestrone soup, which comes seved inside a hard bread is def worth a try...
a place to definitely visit if you are in Worli..

I went to Banyan tree with a couple of my friends today who keep raving about this restaurant all the time..
Firstly, as i entered i liked the feel of a cosy, quiet cafe away from the main street.. The place was well lit with decoration lights..
As my friends knew what they had to order, we did not scan through the menu much.
Although, this place serves italian, thai and chinese, we stuck to italian food.
What we ordered:
Spaghetti in spice arabiatta sauce with prawns
Risotto in some moroccon sauce (Recommended to us by the waiter)
Penne In Spicy arabiatta sauce- chicken ( My friend's love the sauce)
Penne in creamy sun dried tomato
Blueberry cheesecake
Chocolate Ecstasy
Total Bill : 1200 ( for 4 people)
Food was overall good.. not really authentic but not indianized either. The blueberry cheesecake was a little tangy- apparently thats not how it usually is.
The service was excellent. very friendly staff...
I'm definitely going there again..

Nice aesthetics, friendly and efficient staff, very enthusiastic manager, good food and fabulous desserts!
Need i say more?
The outside portion gives it a more relaxed atmosphere and a completely not-seen-feat in south bby atlst!
Food was absolutely delicious - i had the herb grilled chicken n would def vouch for it as a hit!
Desserts - The first time i went there i ate the mousse cake which was delicious, the second time i went there the dessert was a bit of a downer!
Advice to ppl: Stick to the mousse cake and the cheese cake
Advice to the owners: PLEASE stik to ur qlty standards! that's a big one u hve going for urself!
All in all - Definite must go restaurant for a catch up / hang out / gossip session wit friends...
