Went there yesterday afternoon to take a break from the HOT sun outside. We were a group of 10 people. They had to arrange a couple of extra chairs for us to accommodate our group.
I finally tried the Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. Man, it was sooooo good. One of the best coffees that I've ever had.
We even had the Dhokla with Ragda, Vegetable Sandwiches and the Cheese Chilly Toast. Everything was just made to perfection. My daughter feasted on the Cheese Chilly Toast. I loved the Dhokla and the chutneys that came along with it.
The place a bit heavy on the pocket, but the food was par excellence, the service immaculate. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Would love to go there again with wife and sit by the sea-side view.

A lovely place to go in the afternoon, have a cup of tea/coffee or nariyal paani, then try their Sev Puri - one of the most amazing I have ever had. Some time ago, I had asked the manager, if the made it on the premises or sent someone round the corner to get it from the bhaiyya....Imagine his look.... But the same consistency & quality.
Need to go back this year.

My favorite place for a cup of coffee. If you are lucky to get a seat by the window you can enjoy your cup of tea or coffee with a dash of sea breeze and an awesome view of the Gateway of India and the sea. Sea Lounge is famous for its chaats too. It is said that in its hay days it was a popular hangout spot and also an ideal meeting place for families to fix marriages!
Sea Lounge is open from 7am to midnight and offers a breakfast buffet from 7am -10:30am, lunch ( pasta and antipasto) buffet from 12:30pm -3pm and a high tea buffet from 3:30pm-6:00pm. Besides this you can also choose from the à la carte menu from 11:00am to Midnight.

This place located on the first floor of the Taj is hard to beat if you are looking for a great cup of coffee, live music and views of the harbour.
Be sure to ask for their special coffee and tea menu. They have coffee varieties from India, Americas and Africa. I tried their Brazilian Santos coffee (Rs. 175). The coffee had a smooth flavor and a pleasant aroma. The coffee comes with cookies and they were delicious too.
Overall the grandeur ambience of this place takes you back a century or two.
High tea is served between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
