I strongly feel the visit to Amore's new branch in Versova one was'nt up top the mark. 3 reasons:
1. The flavors were limited compared to gelato italiano
2. Slightly on the expensice side
3. The taste and consistency does'nt just matches Italiano.
Overall a good place, in one of lanes in 7 bungalows...but cant be compared to gelato italiano..lack of good choc flavors, gelatos not creamy enough n more of sorbets rather than the premium category which italiano has.
cheers.

For a person with a very strong sweet tooth ..... rather with only sweet teeth.. amore is the place to be....the flavors are to die for. The best one till date is Brownie a la mode.......... sinful....... I believe they are low on calories as well as fat (thats what the staff have told me and if they are to be believed) INDULGE is the only word ......... U absolutely have to try it... else you dont know what u are missing out on....

That means "beautiful flavour" for all the Italian-challenged. This place has just some of the most amazing gelatos. I have had ciao bella in San Francisco and Amore is certainly on par with them. My favourite is the simple chocolate gelato. Just melts in your mouth!

After dinner at the Food Court, I passed by the amore stall. I wanted to have dessert, so I stopped by.
The flavours are very well laid out and the whole feeling is really awesome.
I first wanted to experiment, so I had asked for a taste. He gave me a taste of belgian chocolate. Well, I'm a great gelato fan, so its but obvious that I can differentiate between the good and the bad. But amore is exceptional! It was scrumptuous!
The belgian chocolate flavour, I must say, just melted in my mouth. The chocolate was really rich...
Then I asked for a taste of blueberry cheesecake. Well, that was also really creamy and fluffy and it had a cheesecake crust with real blueberries in it. It looks really fattening, but the reality is that it is 100% fat-free.
Well, because I loved both so much, I asked for a mixture of belgian chocolate and blueberry cheesecake. I asked for a medio (medium size) and I got it dipped in chocolate, the kind they use in McSwirl. Well the taste is really hard to describe, it is the best ice I've had in Mumbai. (The best ice cream that I have ever had is in the gelatarias in Paris...)
Well, if you are a chocoholic, get a mixture of belgian chocolate and fer rocher and dip it in rock hard chocolate. It is for Rs. 90
Without the choco dip, it is for Rs. 75
The small size is for Rs.45
If you want a fruity sorbetto, you should really check out the strawberry sorbetto and the blueberry cheesecake.. Its totally divine.

If you have any room left for dessert after some delicious meals at Little Italy or Kailash Parbat in the vicinity, dont miss Amore. Try the Raspberry Yogurt flavour. Its simply divine. The gelatos are priced at about 60 bucks.
