Just imagine music, cozy place and friends around and sitting on a building terrace having amazing good food and hookah. Thats how I would describe Koyla's. A nice place.

The food here is just above average and the service is a bit amateurish. Waiters are kind, but probably not experienced like you might expect a wait staff to be. The food is your traditional mughlai/north-western frontier fare, meaning very rich and heavy! The mushroom tikka was a great starter I must say - the dal makhani was as expected and the dum aaloo was just way too oily/rich/heavy for my taste.
The ambiance is what is special here - on the rooftop of the seedy Gulf Hotel, tables are set under canopies of clay - some of the larger tables have entire benches made out of the white mediterranean clay, which gives it more of a tropical look. I WISH this place served drinks, but unfortunately, all they have to offer are hookahs. Yech!
