WORST SERVICE WITH NO GOOD STAFF

I have been to to brio in juhu twice but it has been worst in service with no qualified or experienced staff , the manager looks dumbest and waiters are don't know how to give service they forget to give plates or fork or knife . The place has italian menu , most of the dishes are eaten with ketchup and here the they give ketchup in sachets , the waiters are totally illiterate they behave as if they are serving at some road side corner not at all polite very loud keep on joking with either waiters and don't bother for anything . I think here all good class people come but the staff is totally down , don't know how they have recruited the waiters for some cheap salary .

Horrible Restaurant - Worst Service Standards

One of the worst restaurants I have been to in the recent past. Goes down the hill right from the start.

There was about 20 min waiting so the manager took my name and Cell # down and told me he will call us when our table will be ready. There were 2 other couples who arrived after us. We thought of hanging around in the adjacent mall till we recieve the call - but even after half an hour when we heard nothing back - we thought of checking in on the availability when we found both the couples who arrived after us already got a table.

The service was horrendous. The server had no politeness and had a very carefree attitude. The food was sub standard. Peach ice tea we ordered was terrible. The oven roasted sandwich was good and the pizzas was just ok. Ketchup was served in small sachets! When we finished our pizzas and sandwich, we wanted to go for another dish when we weere told that the kitchen is closed (in normal operated rest. they check on tables for final order before shutting the kitchen off). Total turn off.

No take away points from this joint but only disappointment. Goes into the list of 'never to dine at' places.

Pasta

I am a NRI but I sometimes come to Mumbai in Juhu. And when I come I loved the Pasta because it something new and delicious to eat. As from London I love my food such as Pata's, Pizzas and salads. But I tell you people Cafe Brio is the best

On the way down

This is just a brief note about my current experience with Brio -

While I was raving all about this place when it first opened in the May of 2006 in Juhu and even in the pre-opening week, I had visited twice. Food, although slightly more expensive than the regular coffee shops, the variety was great, ingredients fresh and the portions more than decent.

My last two visits, one at their place inside Hypercity Malad and other at Juhu, left me disappointed.

The Mumbai Masala sandwich which was a hunk of a grilled sandwich, 3 large slices of bread stuffed with sliced veggies, mashed potatoes and cheese - for around Rs.50 earlier, has been reduced to a skinny Victoria Beckam-esque version and that too after hiking the price by 30 % or so. This is just an example of how customers have been made to pay more for stuff that has been downsized portion-wise and quality wise.

The service has gone down a great deal in the Juhu branch, where they took AGES to bring my order of an eggless pastry. After all how long does it take to remove from the glass case, dump it on a plate and bring to table, where the entire seating is not even over 75 sq ft? After trying hard a few times, to get the waiter's attention (in the same 75 sq ft place), the waiter got an eggless shake (have you heard of something like that? He had mistaken eggless cake as eggless shake it seems!!! ) Then he goes back to get the eggless cake, only to return after 5 minutes, saying the last piece is gone. This was a true test of patience, and when I saw a cockroach running inside the glass display case, I thanked my good fortune that I did not get any cakes from there!

Charging more for lesser portions and service going from bad to worse, has discouraged us from visiting this place since then.

We'd love to drop by for a coffee, before catching a movie at the PVR cinemas - but it's sad indeed to see our favourite little coffee shop go down hill...
