I go to this place almost EVERY week and i actually miss this place if i haven't gone there for more than 10 days.A fast food joint with no frills. the sandwiches are made to order. You can choose from a variety of breads and I've actually seen them serve you bread fresh out of the oven.
My favorite is the veggie delight with all vegetables (except pickled cucumbers) dressed with thousand island, honey mustard and mayonnaise sauce.
It is healthy because u can skip the any heavy dressing or stuffing.. and they specify low fat options
For meat lovers, seekh kebab is the BEST I've had.
Now that i've given up non veg, i actually miss the Chicken seekh kebab..
For those with a huge appetite can go for the 12 inch ( foot long) sandwich which is quite filling.
The double chocolate chip cookie is to-die for !!
prices are high for Indian standards as 1 can get a sandwich for 10 rupees off the streets, yet subway sandwiches are worth their prices !

I liked the service and the variety here. When I see other restaurants, I prefer to have a good sub in subway. So I would rate it excellent because subs are yummi and I smile on the first bite itself. :)

Firstly, since Subway is an American chain, its only fair that I compare it to one of the Subway outlets in the states. Having been a student in the US for 5 years, Subway was a staple. I've had every sandwich they had to offer.
On my return to India, I decided to see how the Indian franchise was in comparison, and as I expected, it sucked.
The breads are smaller and just not juicy and tasty. The pre-chopped veggies are stale. Theres no choice of cheeses. In the US you have Cheddar, Swiss, Pepperjack, blue cheese etc for example. The choices of meats are poor both in variety and quality.
Subway is supposed to be a "healthier" option to other fast food. Don't get me wrong, Subway is NOT healthy food like most people think. Its just a tad better than McDonalds or KFC in terms of health but the Indian version negates it. The aloo tikki patty is fried. The paneer tastes awful.
I can't complain enough to be honest. If you've never eated at a Subway abroad, you'll probably think this is decent. But believe me, Indians are getting a poormans substitute for the real thing.

Subway in India is not worth a visit. I have been to 3 of its outlets and have had bad experiences at all of them.
One didn't even have cheese at the outlet. All the buckets seem to be nearly empty. They always seem to be scraping off stuff from the bottom of each bucket.
If you are in the mood to tuck in, then a 6 inch won't even make a dent to ur hunger pang. So you are felt with a feeling of wanting more.
The breads were also not as fresh as you would expect them to be in Subway.
I don't want to be caught walking into a Sub outlet.

Subway is a relatively new chain in India. It opened the first branch about 3 years back.
Junk food is usually associated with McDonalds, Pizza Hut and the like. Subway just cannot be included in the same! It is really healthy. There is nothing that is unhealthy in Subway Sandwiches! Just check it out yourself. Look, there is whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pickles, a bit of mayo, onions and many other healthy vegetables in it. And still, they are really tasty!
The bread is fresh from the oven. It is not like the burger breads at McDonald's which come in a plastic bag from far-off places. They have country-wise specials. In India, they have spicy sandwiches such as chicken tandoori, chicken shammi and the like.
The meat or chicken provided in the sandwich is not so fresh, because I saw that mosquitoes were sitting over them. This is the same with the "fresh" vegetables. I saw this only with one branch. In the others, they cover the vegetables with plastic lids. Subway also offers many different daily specials for those on a tight budget. It is cost effective to go ahead and order the foot-long sandwich and save half for another meal. But the problem is that if you ask the guy to give you some extra mayo, or some extra olives, he doesnt do that!
Nevertheless, I really like Subway and I feel it is the best fast-food chain that has come to India.
And it isnt too expensive also.
