love it during the afternoons more

A lovely place to chill out watching the hustle bustle during the afternoons. Ideal time being 3.30 to 6 then pick up the wife, sister from their shopping blitz & head home, snoozing away in the car.

The best way to get excellent service here is give a tip before the first order. Will ensure good-great service in spite of firangs.

The other best way is to wear customized bermudas, gogs, be fair enough to pass for a breed & speak in an accent.

The 3rd way is take a firang at all.

If none of the above works for you, Do Not go.

Good Place - Bad Service.

This is one those age old places where people from various places sit together, with the % of foreigners weighing a bit more then the indians. So, its obivous that you will get a less attention when it comes orders, etc. When you finish your beer you expect to be asked by the waiters for a repeat, but here no one really bothers. I know they get good tips from the firangs but, that does'nt mean you behave in such a way with anyone else. Apart from this factor I really would not think twice about going to this place as the food & drinks are good & affordable.

Beer and food

great place, nice ambience, firangi crowd.
My story..
Hungry since morning, Gulped down a Mug of draft beer around 12 noon. followed by chicken dumplings (something like momos) with garlic sause. licked every bit of the sause from the bowl even after we were done with the dumplings. great experience. Last time i was there, Nauheed Cyrusi was on the next table.
will be a part of every visit to mumbai.

Hmm Beef...

I miss beef in Mumbai cuz you just don't get it in enough places... That way I miss red meat in general, cuz the kind of places that you get it, either its too greasy, or too expensive. This place fits right in the middle of those two problems... Unfortunately for me its so far from home, I rarely get to go there...

Try the chinese its quantities and Mumbai taste wont disappoint, as long as you like Indianized Chinese (which I do). Oh and don't you dare forget the BEER, guzzle it with everything you eat, it sure does make it a lovely experience...

Old world

Sitting on one of their tables sipping a beer or an ice tea watching the world go by, you wonder why you havent thought of coming to Leo's earlier?!?!?! After some serious shopping on Colaba Causeway, i decided to make my way to Leo's. Budding poets and foreigners who pool in all their cash for a pint find this place extremely economical and VFM. Their beef chilly and fried rice is an absolute deathly combo and a must have. the indian fare is superior to the chinese although the yummy chicken tikka masala, once an affordable Rs. 200 has now been steeply priced, what with the management having recently jacked up their rates by Rs. 150. approx.
Quick and decent service with an old world charm is what one looks forward to on a dreamy afternoon!
