I won't rave too much about the food/menu at Parabola, but that said, Parabola is a life saver when you're in the vicinity (Central suburbs) at the wee hours of night and need a place to refresh yourself or have a meal.
The staff is friendly and prompt and the ambience soothing and clean. If you can't make up your mind with à la carte, their midnight buffet is a safe bet. It's not the best in the city, but the food's good and you don't have to try EVERYTHING on the buffet table. Pick the best and you can surely be satisfied. The desserts aren't so bad.
I surely recommend it if passing by after a night of partying.

After an exhilarating response at an event, my office colleagues and I decided to celebrate somewhere with beers. Since Parabola was the nearest to the event venue we decided to give it a shot. I have been to Parabola before and haven't had the best experience but I did not want to dampen the high spirits of the team and act like a forever-opinionated-spoilsport. And in any case we were only going for drinks, what could possibly go wrong with that?
We enter the restaurant at 4:00ish and it seemed pretty full. The food on the other tables looked appetizing at least. We were asked to wait for a few minutes till our table got set. 3 waiters hustled around to get the 7 of us seated, gave us menu cards and disappeared.. we already knew what we wanted but still had to wait a good 5 minutes before an order taker came by to take our order. We settled for 2 fosters, 4 coronas, (they don't serve kingfisher!) 1 fresh lime soda and a chilly cheese toast (I was starving as usual). The order taker took off. We waited another 10 minutes. He comes back after 10 minutes to tell us that coronas are not available. But there were 4 americans sitting on the table next to ours gulping away their coronas! When we pointed that out he promptly said oh, those were the last few they had. Unbelievable coming from a 24 hour coffee shop. We fathom it may have something to do with the fact that we were a joyous bunch of indians occupying a largish table without ordering any food and there were probably more white people waiting to be seated so they could be served chilled Coronas and beef steaks.

This place has single handedly suceeded in diminishing my liking of buffets..
After a heated (30 secs) discussion, me and a friend of mine decided to give Roda's midnight buffet a try. I have to say it was the single most horrifing hotelling experience of my life.
The midnight buffet is hosted in the Parabola resaturant which is quite nicely decorated, with a nice view of the road and thats where the plesantaties end.
You can almost never get a waiter when you need him cos they are all hiding in some far off corner of the room. The spread wasn't exactly very nice. The food disn't taste any good and the deserts and salads' options were highly limited. Non-vegetarian items were highly limited and the menu was predominantly vegetarian.
That night marked the least food i have ever eaten in a restaurant be it Buffet or Ala Carte'. To top it all both of us had digestive problems for the next two days.
I'm never goint to even chance a look upon this place any time. And i strongly recommend any one considering going to Rodas to give it a second thought...

Well thats a big plus... this place is just about the only place open 24 hours in powai... the food is average ..
they have a midnight buffet which sometimes has a good spread.
Overall a good place to eat for a late night supper without driving half around the city.
The service is pretty good. The ambience quite nice.

Iv always hated Parabola and always thought its a waste of time and money. One day however instead of jsut ordering something off the menu I spoke to the chef and he recommended this Sri Lankan coconut curry. This dish really changed my mind about the place and Id say its a pretty decent place. The coconut curry comes with some rice and has some really good flavour to it. They also have some pretty good Chicken Tikkas. Iv never been happy with the other food at Parabola and Id probably reccomend you to stick to this food. As far as the ambience goes , Id say the place is decent. Notihng that really impresses but notihng that pisses you off either. The one good thing about this place is the view, you can see the road outside and theres a roundabout which looks pretty good though the Asian restaurant on the first floor has a better view. The service is decent too though sometimes waiters dissapear and getting service might be a little tough. However when they show up theyre not all that bad though not excellent. Another good thing about this place is that its open 24 hours and so youll always get something to eat.
