First impression is the last impression...as soon as you enter, the aura of the place is awesome. The ambience is too good. Very Very Romantic Place. Great food, specially the starters. Staff is very warm & cordial.
Just for strict vegetarians the choice is limited (But trust me whatever they have is too good)

Contrary to popular belief, the tag line 'house by the sea' actually goes fantastically well with the ambiance of this place. Cool breeze, the soothing sound of waves and the candle lit setup is just so apt for an alcoholic date. I actually felt like getting drunk on the Jack & Coke (s). Will make it a point to come back with my wife the next time I am in Mumbai with her.

This place is no comparison to Salt Water grill.... Though i wont rate the food that bad and the wine list is pretty nice but hey where is the seaview? All the sea side deck is covered by crowds who just walked in minutes ago to the restaurant for a drink! While we booked for a table some two weeks in advance so that we can sit under quiet starlit sky and look at the sea and spend some romantic time in an exclusive place, what we got is a table for two that was surrounded by a thousand standing crowds... so all we could see were ppls backside, almost about to hit our table and topple off the wine glasses! On the toher side is this loud group of girls whose laughter riot will send us into a tizzy. So my hubby, who came here on my reccomendation now thinks its just like the other sae side lounge which is just down the road. I would rahter go there and stand by the deck and not bother about booking a table in weeks before and still get the same ambience! I must say it again... there is no other place as romantic as the Dome or the Salt Water Grill and Aurus can never asprire to reach there if they cant maintain there exclusivity. Also would like to mention the service in these places are way better than the service in Aurus. SO guys dont ever think of going there for a quite date cause all u get is lot of noise and lots of bums to see( if u r sitting down for a dinner )....Am appalled to see what they have done to their ambience!

Went here on a Friday with some mates...was easy to find the place..although I never hand over my car to the Valet...had no option...the roads are full of parked cars already..the place was quite crowded by 11pm....We had some drinks..which were priced moderately...like all the other good clubs.
The crowd was also really sophisticated....loved the setup..italian interiors with a great ambiance...the international dj was spinning some great house n progressive..which he eventually spun to trance..
The place did get over crowded a bit though....but thats what you get if Aurus has every element of a nice nightout at...
So...ya lads...the place is class...with every department up to date...thumbs up!

Aurus is one of my favourite places to lounge around and hang out with friends over a few drinks. The ambiance is fantastic, the drinks are stiff, the food is lip-smacking, they're open till 2ish these days and the music .. errr... there isn't a dj and they kinda play whatever... but then who cares when you are busy catching up with friends, right?
I had one bad experience here last weekend though. I was there on Saturday, having a few drinks with friends at the bar. A little past midnight (or was it 1?) we got hungry and wanted to order some starters. We called the waiter for the food menu and he said the kitchen was closed. We obviously didn't mind and decided to end up at the egg bhurji guy near cooper hospital (yet again!!) once we had finished with our drinks. Though a few minutes later, some really fishy looking girls (if you know what i mean) came and sat down at a table. The manager came by in a bit (and perhaps asked them to leave). Something convinced him to let them stay AND order from the food menu. We obviously had a problem with that and they eventually got us some food too. Too light-headed to be bothered we finished up and did move on to bhurji pav guy nonetheless. :) :) :)
We got over the hang-over the next morning but the dent in Aurus's impression stays.
