I've visited the Little Italy a.k.a La Pizzierra in Pune and that place is just fabulous. Absolutely perfect service, quality & taste. So based on those expectations, this outlet of Little Italy was pretty dreadful.
First of all, it's quite a small place before Phoenix mills. Entrance is slightly deceiving due to a large tree; could be missed if you don't know about it. It was not very full and there were about 10-12 tables total. A/C temperature was good n chilly, but could be too cold for some. They have a see thru kitchen, which is nice.
As soon as we were seated we got the menu shortly and chose to order the over priced Ceasar's Salad @ Rs.225 and one of their pastas @ Rs.395 (all veg). For the quality of service, I think this place is very over priced! They brought in the salad definitely express but they did the same with the pasta (our main course) that came with the salad. A TOTAL SURPRISE! Which fine dining italian place would serve their salad & main course together. Yes I did send it back coz the salad was a big portion & would've taken sometime to finish, else I would be eating cold food in the cold atmosphere.. Anyway, I guess they were really in an express hurry to get us out. Even though I'd already mentioned to the manager that we would like our main course after we finish our salad just as many restaurants serve us that way; we were not even half way done and another server decided to bring us the main course again.Really strange!
The Ceasar's salad was indeed very tasty but on the sweeter side; dont know if many would like it that way. They gave a some free garlic bread to go with that.
Soon after we finished our salad, we requested the main course be served and the dish was the wrong one. Upon ordering, we had questioned about the Ravioli but opted for Fussilli instead; due to negligence they brought in the Raviolli but before serving us realized it was the wrong one so back into the kitchen until we got our actual order. Shortly after our main course came and was definitely a good quantity but average taste, hardly felt like 'Little Italy' in the taste & atmosphere.
I can't believe there were 4 different people serving us; as in 4 different people came 4 different times to serve like water, salad, main course & the bill.
We got the bill 2 items after V.A.T for Rs.700 + tip.
Been to better places, I hope it's just this outlet that is like this as the original one in Pune is soooooooooooo gooooooooooooood.

Yay, I get to be the first one to review this newly opened place. The place serves Italian cuisine (d'oh) and is located about a minute away from the Phoenix Mills entrance. I went there with a colleague this afternoon. The place is new and it showed. The staff was still trying to perfect the layout of the tables, chairs etc. The cashier was all over the place and there was some general hullabaloo in the restaurant.
The ordering was quick and hassle free. I've been to their other locations many times and knew what I wanted. So we ordered a Margarita Pizza and a Caesar Salad. The pizza was good. While the Caesar salad had fresh ingredients, the dressing was a bit off the mark. It was tasty, but quite the way it should be made. I guess they omitted the Worcestershire Sauce from it.
The meal set us back by Rs. 600 (incl. the tip and taxes).
I'd recommend the place and look forward to go there again when the missus doesn't pack lunch for me :-)
