I have been to Mondies more times than necessary. Yes, its a great place to sit, drink some beer and chow down some food and get going again down Colaba but so what?
With the memorabilia, the bidi-smoking tourists, and the general din of too many tables and an overly loud PA system, its main attraction to me now is as a place to take out-of-town friends to so they can do the tourist trail of Mumbai and feel touristy.
In the end, food is decent, beer is good (where is it not??), its too loud for conversation and you have other peoples elbows all over your chair. Your mileage may vary though.

A super cool place to hangout with your friends, girlfriend or alone. Have Beer of the top notch brands, enjoy the retro jukebox, loads of mondegar merchandise. Good food. Chicken is the in thing.
A must try place for all beer lovers and music lovers.

Mondies as its more popularly known is one of the few places which inspite of the changing times has been able to retain its retro (read bombayish) look. d cartoon murals that adorn d walls make u feel at ease. i feel like drawing up a personalised character myself.
The food is good (im strictly a vegan hence a limited perspective) pasta was done well. sandwiches are good and the wafers quantity is decent. wat d place is more popularly known as for "beer guzzlers"!! move over quality, quantity counts here!
all in all an awesum place for a hot humid summer afternoon or a dreamy rainy day. Kudos!

Its a very Busy and crowded place.
You can almost get the feeling of ebing in some palce out of India. Other than a few indians tryign to act and dress like foreigners, most of the people around here are actually visitors.. from abroad..
The last time I was there in April, a old American couple was very much impressed with my 20 month old daughter and clicked a lot of snaps as she ate the chips and guzzled the milk shake on her own.
Not a lot of space to sit aorund, but once you get a table, you can alomost spend hours here watching different people, with different attire and vivid colour sense.
A good place to hang out. when you are in that part of the town..

The same as Leopold. Great for an afternoon pit stop quaffing a couple of chilled beers with peanuts waiting for someone & watching the crowd mill past. With a little effort you can also write a novel like Shantaram!!
