When they first opened the food served by Jaffer bhai was awesome and finger licking good. I was a regular sometimes ordering a delivery and sometimes walking in and picking up orders of Chicken Bryani and Chicken Tandoor etc.
As their popularity grew in this new venture the quality of food and slipped has reached the level of the food available in the many little "bhattiyarkhanas" spread all over the city. The difference is that they use better Rice.
The Chicken that they serve in the bryani is stringy with less flesh and greasy. The tandoor doesn't fare any better. The food tends to go off quickly unlike bryani from other restaurants which are good for eating for another 24 hours if refridgerated.
Frankly speaking it is a real disappointment, as I have tasted what they had to offer before and I have that as a benchmark.

This is my favorite place for biryani in the whole of mumbai. It's right opp. St. Michael's church in Mahim and has no seating place so you have to park outside and carry your stuff home. They deliver to far off places if you order over 1000 bucks. The biryani, raita, kebabs.. they're all great and worth it.
Enjoy!!
