Was quite a regular here, but sadly when i went back in Jan 2008, I was told that Pedros has been shut down. Anyone who knows if they've reopened elsewhere pls post.
Great combos available at this place. Lots of free food everytime you ordered a drink

I had been to this place twice. The open air seating is a good idea in a suburb like Malad where you are elbowing the diners on the other tables in most of the other restaurants. But that is where the goodness of the place stops.
The menu is very very limited. I think it is a deliberate strategy because the place is understaffed and rather than have several chefs cook up an elaborate menu, they have probably hired just two chefs who toss up the 30 odd items on the entire menu.
The services sucks big time. You can order for something and forget about it. This is why it is a good place if you want to just sit back and kill time, preferably if you have dined elsewhere.
I will grant that this place is easy going. But the service needs to be beefed up and pronto.

Saturday night out on a date at a rooftop restaurant sounds like a great idea, but wasnt to be ...
As we entered, we heard loud music, that too vengaboys (even teens dont play them anymore).
We ordered an American platter to start with, which seemed to be the only decent choice from the limited food menu they offer, along with a couple of breezers ... To place the second round of order was really difficult as the waiters just didnt want to accept any, inspite of me calling them again and again and again ... Finally, a waiter responded to accept our order (two paneer tikkas and a couple of naans). On complaining about their pathetic service, the manager offered us some discount; however, the night was copletely ruined ...
The American platter wasnt as bad as the main course. I recieved a hefty bill of Rs. 860, which is way too pricy considering the offerings, i.e., their food and service (the bill amount was excluding the price of the breezes discouted owing to their pathetic service) ...
Overall Ratings:
Food: 2/5
Service: 0/5
Ambience: 2/5
If you are looking for a nice place out on saturdays, Pedros is not a place to be ... Although, for sports fans (football/cricket), this place might not be tat bad, owing to their projection screen showing on-going sports, along with a few cans of beer ...

The rooftop venue is good with a good collction of music from the 80's and 90's. It makes a nice place to have a drink and dinner with friends or family. The service is prompt and polite.
The food though left us a bit disappointed. They served the South American platter without the tomato salsa sauce, the Chicken Satay in the Asian Non-Veg platter without the peanut sauce dip. Worst part was that they tried to convince us that the peanut sauce is used in the marination and not served seperately. The Indian Fish and Prawns platter was great and the Korean Brochette good. They need to learn to serve their food hot.
So 6/10 for service; 7/10 for ambience and 3/10 for food!!!
Am not giving up on them... will try it one more night.....

This place has a nice feel to it...the open air sitting and the right kind of music...the candlelight theme also adds to its plus points !!
Now to its food...though the menu is short the food makes up for it.I visited this place with my family and we started with some punjabi fare Paneer Makhanwala...hmm yumm the taste still lingers in my mouth and this would definitely give Garden Court's Paneer Makhanwala a run for its money !! And the naan also was quite delectable. We proceeded onto the Italian platter...what delighted me most was the way it was served...4 different items on 4 small dishes all served together on a bigger dish..but that doesnt't take away the credit from the food...completely different and completely satiating. We also tried the Korean Brochette.Though not as good as the other two it certainly didn't disappoint me.
We gave the dessert a miss as all of us were completely full.
P.S We also ordered a pint of beer which took the total cost of our evening to Rs 700/-.In a nutshell..very romantic, scrumptious food and a perfect place to chill out if living in the Borivali-Kandivali-Malad region.
