Spectacular. Was there for dinner on Sept 7th. Group of 6 people. Ever so often you come across a gem of a place.
Food 5/5
Instead of the usual description - I'm going to list out what was ordered and my impression of each dish.
Appetizers:
Roti Canai - Chicken - Excellent
Paneer Black Bean - Excellent
Kung Pao Potato - Excellent - Spicy
Laksa Soup - Excellent
Main Course:
Lamb Rendang - Very good
Penang Shrimp Curry - Excellent - by far the star of the night.
By this point we could not put another morsel of food in our mouth's. So no dessert comments for now.
Ambience - 4/5
Very New York. Exposed brick looks great. The huts remind me of Penang in NY, lot of common dishes actually. They have a party room in the back that was lit up with candles - looked great for a romantic dinner, but a little too dim for my taste. Overall, matches the Pan Asian theme.
Point to note, I don't think a lot of people know about this place, it's apparently only one and a half year old, point being - it's not crowded on weekday's.
Service - 5/5
Had the head chef personally explain the menu and suggest dishes. How often do you get that around here? They were not very busy, so the waiters were prompt but not intrusive. Orders were served promptly and nothing negative in this department.
In closing, I wish the very young chef all the best and hope he keeps doing what he does best - cooking up a delight.

My friend and I happened upon the East Pan Asian by accident. We were actually heading somewhere else, and when we passed East, it caught our eye. To start with, the ambiance is great. Pleasant music, dimmed lights, very zen like approach, all add up to a wonderful atmosphere. The wait-staff was very attentive, without being overbearing. We were given plenty of time to decide what we wanted. Even when we were finished with our meal, neither of us felt rushed to leave. As for the food, it was some of the best Asian dishes I have had. We decided to do the chef tasting menu. The chef, this young guy was really impressive with his knowledge of food. We had a seven course non-veg meal. Started with chicken and spinach dim sum, they were aromatic and really yummy!! Next we had crispy lamb, again superb, followed by Ko- tha Paneer – very unusual, but good. The most exciting was the flavored crushed ice followed after every course to cleanse the palate. Next was the mini main course of crispy fish, green curry, stir fried greens, paired with rice and noodles, which very excellent!! Last was the dessert, which was coconut pancakes, stuffed with this sweet desiccated coconut filling. Overall a 10 on 10. The regular menu is extensive, and it seemed to me there were a number of vegetarian and Jain elections. The cocktail list was lengthy as well. We tried the (read many) lychee martinis…. They were a right mix of sweet and alcohol. Price-wise, I would place it in the moderate high bracket. ABSOLUTELY worth the money! I know that both my friend and I were craving more of East food over the next few days. We look forward to eating there again, very soon.
Pros: Great food, excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere.
Cons: Lights were a bit dim for reading the menu.

It had been long since the last time I ate some pan asian food. Had heard about this place from some friends and went in on a Wed night.
The place was empty when i entered in at 10. Decored with wood and dim light and with adequate space amongst tables, the restaurant introduced itself to be a cosy yet formal dining experience. The staff was extremely friendly and polite.
The soup we ordered (syn to hot & sour) was excellent. Although the ginger portion in it were too large. The roti canai was strictly ok (one dish i really had huge expectations from). However, it made up for the chilly garlic noodles which were excellent. They were more than happy to serve half portion wherein we ordered veggies with black bean sauce - good.
All in all - good experience - damage with drinks - 1200 a couple.

The food here is the best I have eaten in bombay in a long time. Every dish had its own unique flavor and style. And the chef was around talking to his guests making them feel comfortable, answering questions and doing a fantastic job. I would absolutely recommend trying out the taster's menu. There's 4 starters, 3 main courses and a dessert for Rs. 600! And the food is worth every penny and more. The panneer or potato kung poa was simply delicious. Also try the tofu in green thai curry sauce. and the broccoli starter. the miso soup was very delicious. the singapore noodles were also excellent, light main course and very flavorsome. the helpings were enormous. If you do go for the tasters menu though, you should be wary that the chef prepares every dish to cater for your taste specifically and you will have to be patient. After getting the second appetizer we just told the chef to bring whatever he felt like and everything that came out of the kitchen, a mystery to us, was great.
If you're someone who loves food this is the place for you.

Had first been to this place after a friend suggested it. I guess having a menu with a large number of non veg dishes in such a veg dominated zone makes it relatively empty. But that is the best part of it. To have a nice quiet meal, where you can hear each other without having to scream is so rare in most of the hole in the wall restaurants these days.
The ambiance is beautiful. The food is great. We had the veg dumplings for starters, pad Thai noodles, grilled fish with two sauces, and Thai green curry for the main course.
The portions were reasonable and great value for money quantity-wise. The dumplings were great and so were the noodles. My accompanying non veg friends claim the fish was superb especially with the garlic sauce (the other variety offered along with it was the penang curry). The Thai green curry was good, if you like food a little sweet.
Over all, a place where they don't rush you, waiters are attentive and definitely worth visiting.
All three of us were stuffed and the total along with taxes came up to Rs 1070.
