as many people have pointed out, service is very bad and racist, clearly showering more attention on white customers than fellow Indians. last time i was here, with a group of 8 friends, had to wait for someone to come to our table for more than 10 minutes while 5 waiters hovered around a british couple 2 tables away...dont even wanna think about it again...
The bakery is still very good, however thanks to the arrogant nature of the waiters, i hav switched my allegiance to 210 degrees which is a much better bakery, near HR, KC College.

So I went to Gaylord yesterday to pick up a sausage roll and a hot dog mayo bun. No complaints about the food but the staff that received my money slammed, yes you're reading right SLAMMED, my change on the counter.
I've always thought that the staff at Gaylord in the patisserie were rude and the waiters outside were nice. Once the waiter who served me mint tea even helped me use the plunge correctly to 'squeeze out the real essence' of the tea. I left him a very generous tip, he was such a nice man.
I don't know what's bugging the men in the cake and pastry shop though. Once one man (the one with the particularly fluffy white moustache) screamed at me because he thought I was cutting the line when I was actually patiently standing behind a lady who took 20 minutes to order a single lemon tart.
Maybe the staff outside (such gems) and the staff inside (bloody grumps!) should switch places weekly. I'll know when and what part of Gaylord to visit then.

well, i m glad i share opinion with many on the rude staff, but well, if you smile, they do smile back at you, cheer up folks. Been here thrice, but still haven't tried their Hindustani fare, which is recommended too. The first time, i was starving, and hence skipped straight to the main course. The mixed meat sizzler. Huge. Fresh meat. Average sauces. I, a meat eating monster, had problems finishing it.
Wot else, the soups are good, and few other continental stuff that i had was finger licking good. Some swiss chicken and some rice with bacon in it... Yummy! Awesome bakery, everything's recommended specially the tomato spinach bread, and the mousse and th almond rocks and the danish patty and the ... :D
