The place is quite excellent. It's one of our regular hangouts on friday nights. Good music - a mix of rock, retro, house/trance (for about 30-60 mins in the night). A very good selection of drinks are available. Reading the reviews above, most people rate the service poor - but my experience is quite the opposite. The bartender (Ashok) and the rest of the staff are very attentive and have a quick service time. Food overall is limited - only starters and sandwiches / wraps. This is an excellent pub to just wind down and relax at. Great dark lit ambiance, a real bar with stools & an LCD usually playing sports channels (audio muted). The music is great and fits the ambiance well; a mix of pop, blues and soft rock (English only). Staff is very attentive and service is prompt. They have a dress code so you can't go in shorts or wearing flip-flops. Tshirts are fine, however. The bar is reasonably well stocked with several imported beers and liquor available. Hi ppl, visited the Orchid pub yesterday. Its got fresh new lounge bar like interiors but ahem.. same old hostile 'muchhad' head captain/manager! now the rates have increased a bit too. The menu has changed. n guess what? the service hasnt changed a bit! we ordered a draft mug in which after a while we noticed some powder like residues in all the mugs which was then pionted out to the waiter n i got a much expected answer. He said we must have put cheeselings in the mug!! can u believe it? For an expensive place like this, this shuldnt be an answer! anyways we did not expect a replacement coz... read more -

i totally agree with the people below.. the manager is completely arrogant and behaves as if he owns the place! the place has good ambience, food is avg. and overall expensive. they have italian fare as well which tasted far from any italian recipe n in fact a dish i ordered tasted like chinese! there is a serious lack of good pubs in chembur n thats why places like this thrive inspite of bad staff. my ratings are only for the ambience n music.. -

Good pub but rude management 2009-03-15
i luv the place good food good music good ambience BUT really rude management. The manager is the most irritating of the lot cuz his behaviour towards the customers specially the non regulars is as if he wants to kick them off asap if they are havin a good time. It dosent matter wthr the place is packed or empty.Some of the waiters i suppose are deaf cuz they will not listen to u unless n until u scream at them. I agree with shony78 100%. I hv rated this place poor only bcuz of the rude managment . -

Good ambience but bad service 2009-01-31
This place could have been great... Ideal location, good music, but alas... the service is shockingly BAD.. I used to go there quite a few times, as I used to like music, but have felt cheated a lot of times. Literally cheated too, as they have a habit of giving an inflated bill quite a few times. SHOCKING but true..., as some of my other friends have had similar experience at this place. Food is fine, sometimes quite good, but equally bad the other times.. I would not recommend this place, as there are some real good pubs in chembur, which are lot better.. -

Good Music. 2008-04-12
This place has a great ambience & hence the music played by the DJ really leaves a good impression. The food is not above average but, the drinks are quite expensive. We had a blast with about 5 friends & a lot of expensive booze, the damage was about 9500/- But we had a great time ! Will visit again... -
