First and the last time 2012-05-20
We had done advance booking for a table of 6 a day before , however when we landed up we were first offered a table which consisted of an oval table of 4 and another table round table of 2 joined together, which seemed very awkward to sit . We insisted that we get a better table (the place was almost empty when we got in), we got a curt and rude reply that they are all booked. We had to remind the usher that we too have a reservation and don’t see a point of doing advance booking if we were treated like “walk-ins”.

Break from same old chinese! 2012-05-16
We went for a weekday lunch and were surprised to see it full! We quickly understood why. The chicken sui cheung fung was a steamed plate of heaven drizzled with tangy Japanese soy! We were trying to go lite, so we followed it up with the sticky rice in lotus leaf with chicken in prawn. The pretty parcel was opened - lovely sticky rice with a glazed brown top and centre of yum chicken and prawn. I could eat that every meal of my life!
we ended with the Singapore sea food vermecelli. Yum yum yum.

Pros:
1. Fantastic decor and trendy, upmarket ambience. All that glass, wood, marble, steel and high ceilings make you go wow as soon as you enter and set the tone just right for the evening.
2. Top notch, delicious food. The grilled chicken shanghai and steamed vegetable dumplings were succulent and done to perfection. The accompanying sauces were punchy and flavourful. The Red snapper in black bean sauce was to die for with a spicy sauce with a mild hint of sweet.The tofu and mixed vegetable clay pot was simply delicious and went well with the fried rice that the server reccommended.... read more -

The Perfect Dinner! 2012-05-08
Brilliant is the word for this place. Excellent ambiance, delicious food and decent pricing. Normally a place like this you would expect to be exorbitant, but to our surprise it is one of chic places which do not burn a hole in your pocket. The service is impeccable and they suggested us the best dishes. Also the location works in favour of the restaurant, also they were decently packed on a monday night with a very good crowd.
