Hidden Treasure 2012-03-22
Tucked away in a building near the crowded Crawford Market, Zaffran is quite the hidden jewel in a pile of rubbish. The interiors are cool and welcoming, and the food... wow! Famed for it's biryani, I fell in love with the place. These guys sure know what 'spicy' means. At a time where most places serve up a joke in the name of spicy food, Zaffran is a place where if you ask for spicy, you will get spicy. I totally heart this place and since I live close by, I can frequent it often. Looking forward to heading here once again soon! -

Richness at its best! 2012-03-21
Cramped up in a corner near Mahatma Phule market, Zaffran is a gem when it comes to rich Mughlai food. Although they now have Chinese and other options (which I haven't cared to try), I can bet that Mughlai takes the cake!
Zaffran is a major hangout for meat eaters but I did see plenty of pure vegetarian eaters around which is proof that vegetarians have enough to stuff themselves with as there are plenty of options to chose from.

Zaffrani Tadka! 2012-03-20
Treat for the vegetarians and non-vegetarians at the same time. The service is good and so are the customized platters that keep you hooked on for more. Best among the few restaurants that offer services at unusual hours. -

No veg food here is tooo good...all kebabs are awesome.
Vegetarian people...stay away....will be a disaster for you. -
