Attractions of Central Suburbs
When you travel in auto-rickshaws instead of cabs you know that you're in suburban Mumbai! Some of the main localities in the Central Suburbs include Chembur, Ghatkopar, Mulund and Powai. Some of these areas have high-end bungalows, Golf Clubs and the likes. Areas like Vikhroli and Bhandup are slowly but surely catching up, so much so that ‘Bhandup' is now being rechristened ‘Lower Powai'. The urban wave has already hit the Central Suburbs, with the launch of some of the plushest malls and multiplexes. These neighbourhoods present a good mix of recreation and residential charm.
