The restaurant offers a variety of cuisines. The service and ambiance is a pleasure. The owner is confident, interactive and open to suggestion. The special feature is cartoons and cook books which is certainly a novelty. Separate place for family and outdoor.
Try Ravioli, for those who do not enjoy spicy food.
Hoisin for those who go for oriental delights.

Art and Craft with Heart

Yesterday I happened to visit to Metromix and never thought I will fall in love with it. When you start towards Metromix, little you know what you are to experience. First you try to find the road and then hotel... Ah ah you have spotted it and and a bit disappointed thinking that its not a big place as you thought. But hold on... don't start your mental rating meter. Going inside you are in for a shock to find such little sitting place. Go ahead you can write a negative mark for this. You need to wait for a minute or two (personally I don't mind to wait). You can also give negative mark if you want. Now you open the menu which is simply fantastic. So many items on the menu card for such a small place, you think. All of sudden you become skeptical. Start to worry if this would ruin your night. Soon the order is served (with a bit delay) and you take your first bite or sip AND voila..... All of a sudden you forget about the ratings, waiting, small sport etc mediocre things and start to ascend towards heaven.
Now you are talking only about food. Now you again take the menu and read the items one by one and then realize that this hotel will never talk about feeding you with so called tasty food, but what it has to offer is articulately CRAFTED, superb menu which holds true to every statement written in it. If it says mouthwatering then it will be mouthwatering...That's how it is. Now you are trapped and have no other alternative than to come here as and when you need a tasty delicious treat.
P.S. You are also welcome to suggest your own dishes and who knows they will be served to you better than your imagination. There are only 5 stars to give..Such a pity.

Favourite Place For Italian!

This is probably the best place for Italian food this side of town! The pastas, especially the lasagna is awesome! I always feel they should have more options in Veg Starters. Also service is very slow, even if there aren't many people in the restaurant. But their food is bang on! Authentic grub! Also, I had tried the Sizzlers once, amazing amazing stuff!

Hidden Gem

This is really one of the hidden gem restaurants me and my friends found out at this side of town. They are specially good at pastas lasagne. Pasta was the best we ate in recent times. The quality is too good of the pasta . But I find one the restaurant to be too small if you are 8 to 10 people. But who cares if the food is good. Superb continental food we had for main course. Will visit again with my core group of Conti ;)

Finally Don't Have To Drive To The Other Side Of Town For Authenticity !

Authentic and delicious food. I highly recommend the onion soup, Caesar salad pesto ravioli and the chocolate and mint mousse. Always my usual order :-) The sizzlers are good too. Don't be embarassed to be caught licking your plate when done ;-)

Yummy Sizzlers!

Tried out this place about a week back with a friend. Tried chicken sizzler which had an oriental gravy and it was a very very satisfying meal! Service could have been quicker though.

Amazing Place!!

Went here with my friends on Saturday. Its a nice colorful little place! Even the area (Kumar Parisar) is pretty nice and serene. We ordered Paneer Satay Lasagna and Veg Au Gratin! The food was amazing!!! The quantity was just right! Service was slightly slow. The food was priced quite reasonably. Overall a great experience. Glad I tried out this place!

It's Refreshingly Different!

Just like the board says; World Cuisine, Metro Mix truly has a mix of gastronomical experiences on offer. The warmth of the staff takes the visit to a higher level. Located in a quite corner of Kothrud, this place is Sab se Haat Ke. Small, homely and yet has a global range on offer.
Guess, I'll soon be addicted to this place.

The awesome place Situated in Kothrud, though its a bit hard to find if your going for the first time - but the food and service makes it up to you once you reach there after you have been irritated by finding it. You want authentic food - the place is metromix. You want great service (even on weekends) the place is metromix. There are these beautiful and unconventional interiors that would surely make you think and laugh. Overall a very good experience.

It's a mixed bag of emotions

I have very mixed reviews about MetroMix.

I have been there quite a few times and there have been times when we have been licking food of our fingers and there have also been times when we couldnt even finish off the stuff from the plate.

Let me talk about the good things there. I love their Minestrone Soup. It's warm and comforting. I love their chicken satay as they grill it nicely without overcooking the chicken. Their nachos are average. What I love most are their pastas. They make amazing Lasagne's and Ravioli's. My only complaint is that the quantity is far less than the price that we pay. I assume it is because of the area where it is located, but that's not an excuse I am willing to consider easily.

Last time we had been there, we had a sizzler and I have to say, I have eaten better sizzlers at an udipi restaurent. The very fact that there was a sheet of cabbage leaves separating the food from the sizzling plate was a big turn off. I expect my noodles, peas, spinach etc. all on the sizzling plate. The joy of scraping the burnt vestiges of the food off the sizzing plate was marred. I will stick to Yana for sizzlers now.

The staff or rather just 3 guys are half of the time clueless about the menu and what they offer. You must enunciate to make them understand.

Overall I like the food and the ambiance but the price is a bit too much sometimes.

Good variety, average service

This place scores very high when you look at the menu card. The small space is decorated nicely and it has comfortable seating. Though, air conditioning is poor. Taste-wise, it was a mixed experience. Spicy garlic bread was really nice though, barbecue chicken was not properly cooked. The spices and sauce was nice though. Main course - the Mexican sizzler, had nothing Mexican in it and it was somewhat bland. Dessert - it made my day. Beautiful, blissful Tiramisu was one of the best I have had in Mumbai. Yet, the restaurant DOES NOT provide the value for money & they need to rethink about their pricing strategy.

Nice place

This place is good if you are looking for different cuisine and in the area of Kothrud. I have been here frequently and sometimes I find that the quality of food goes down. The afternoon chef needs to sharpen his culinary skills. All in all I think it is a nice place to go if you want to avoid long drives and want to taste something different. I like the Thai curry and the nachos.

What I did not understand was the AC on a very low setting. The summer days and nights are hot here so despite requesting them to switch it on, you tend to feel hot and there is no air circulation. I don't understand if they are trying to conserve electricity. It would be better to have natural ventilation instead.

The ambiance is very inspired by Mario Miranda. Nice and cheerful.

Sad food...

Ordered a mexican sizzler here... it should have had jalapeno and belle pepper in it but there was no trace of such taste... it was like having a panjabi sabji with rise!!! Clearly the chef dosent know the difference between panjabi and mexican flavor.
@MetoMix plz change your chef...and thanks for ruining my valentines day :/

Full on Expectations

Went last evening in search of something different, isolated and quality place to eat and spend time with my beloved wife. Thanks to metromix for providing such a wonderful food and place to us where we enjoyed both. Sause provide with Paneer sauthe can have some more improvements as it was on little sweet side that expected. Sizzlers tasted great but can be served with realistic and pleasing sound of sizzling feel while serving. Finger chips were also little cold.
Overall satisfied with Taste, price and quantity and service as well.

Amazing Experience

On 14th Feb we visited MetroMix.Nice ambiance ,helpful staff. We ordered Tom Kha soup which was just delicious .Generally if I like the soup then I enjoy the main course with relax state of mind. Then the pan fried chicken tikka was tasty and the mint chutany was just amazing.Just a little bit improvement in presentation needed. Then we had pasta napolitana which was also tasty (a little bit more gravy would make it more tasty). And finally for Dessert we had Choco mint mousse.......ohhhhh it was heaven......very very yummy!!!!!!! Over all a very good experience .Will definitely visit again n again..Just one thing we didn't like was the loud music...some light melodious music will soothe the mind as well

Its good, but can be better

Yesterday my husband got a take away from Metro Mix. The veg spaghetti with red sauce was delicious and so was fish and chicken pasta. They had used olive oil while making sauces which gave it a more authentic Italian taste. Garlic toast was nice too. The only thing which I didn't find upto the mark was Paneer Satay. The paneer was fresh and marinated well, but I hardly could taste any peanut sauce. You guys should be careful. But overall it was a good experience. I am looking forward to visit this place soon.

Good Thai

I visited MM with my wife.. wanted to go for Thai, it was authentic and I was pleased with the over all food taste and quality. The quantity too was good enough. I wld have been more contented, if I wld have had Satay grilled n more flat. I recommend to try MetroMix for Thai at this point of time as I have only tried Thai there.
Ambience: 3.8/5
Attentiveness: 3.5/5
Food: 4.4/5
I would give all in all 4.1/5.

I like it

Hey keep the expectations realistic and you'll be more than happy! There's nothing like this for miles around, great food (except a few lil bits here and there), prices are slightly on the higher side for the locality (could improve there), the ambiance is nice - good artwork on the walls + lighting - and it's a very nice lil place to take your someone special or even going there with your family. BTW, great service. That student guy you have serving there deserves full marks.

I like it so much I think I'm going to go there right away...hmm..what should i have this time around...

Only Name

I have been to this place, very small in size at most 10 tables. Food is expensive and little in quantity. This place is mainly frequented by people living in different housing societies around. Nothing great. As there are very few places to go for a dinner at this location people might have rated Good.

If you come looking for this place then you can't find it in one go! bet.

A Really good place - I will surely recommend.

Me and my husband wanted to go for a multicuise restaurant. We searched on Burrp! and first result was MetroMix. We however hadn't heard of this and with so many great reviews wanted to see if these reviews are genuine or by the hotelier itself ;-) we went to MetroMix and yes, now can agree to all these reviews. Its an awesome place. Lovely ambiance, the painting on the wall - i just loved it. Service is good.. they are growing so may be not too many people running about. But service provided is good. It was with an intent to make the customer smile n leave the place and for sure make him want to come back.
Food is Terrific. Price is very good too.. these days with so many expensive places.. this one is still very affordable.

We met Sachin there and had some great discussion with him and suggested some improvements too. He was very nice to listen to us :-)
I will def. go there again and for sure recommend.
You will love it!

Nice place..

I was there with my friends for dinner (I guess it was a Sunday). The place was not crowded.
Ambience is good. Bright lightening, the music is not too loud. Interesting painting(s) on the wall. And you have famous quotes (on food) as your table mat (Or whatever it is!).
The service was good. Stewards/Waiters were helpful in deciding what to order.
I am a vegetarian, so I was a bit disappointed because there are not many options for vegetarians. We had some Italian food(I don’t remember what it was!!), but it was good. The only thing that isn’t good is music. They were playing old English songs (Backstreet Boys, Boyzone et. al. ).
Money wise its fine, won’t burn a whole in your pocket. A nice place to visit. Planning to visit this place again.

Good Multi-cuisine food for reasonable pricing

I read about this place on burrp.com and visited it one sunday afternoon, liked the food so much that I went again the same day for dinner! I recommend this place to all those people who wanna try other cuisines like thai, italian and mexican without hurting their wallets. Having said that, do not correlate the pricing with the quality or for that matter the quantity of the food. The quality is good and the quantity is sufficient. I am yet to try the mexican food there, but i presume it must be equally good. Another added advantage i found was that Sodexho coupons are accepted out there. All n all a good place to visit quite often.

Bon Appetite!

Metromix: A Culinary Cruise Indeed!

I have visited Metromix a few times and enjoyed the food there every time I went. It is a welcome move to open a much needed multicuisine restaurant in Kothrud, just apt for the place. In addition to variety of food, an inviting, child-friendly ambiance makes you want to frequent the place with family. In fact, it is a nice place to hold a small family gathering. The soups and salads here are simply delicious.

The food is catered to satisfy all palates. As they say, "Happy and successful cooking doesn't rely only on know-how; it comes from the heart, makes great demands on the palate and needs enthusiasm and a deep love of food to bring it to life." Sachin, the owner and the person behind Metromix puts his heart in every dish he creates.

A must visit place; Metromix is a Culinary Cruise Indeed!

New star in Kothrud

Kothrud may be the fastest growing suburb (as they say!!), but it absolutely lacks good food. All that you can find here is an insane number of udipi pure veg restaurants that have the same menus and the same boring punjabi dishes with sambhar masala in it.
What this suburb needed was a fresh breath of air and thankfully Sachin came up with Metromix.

The reviews below have summed up metromix in a great way and i completely agree with them. The food quality is great for the price and the staff is excellent.

I am a regular to this place and highly recommend this place if you are in kothrud and are sick of travelling all the way to koregaon park for decent food.

Food : 4/5
Ambiance: 3.5/5
Staff: 4/5
Parking: 5/5
Menu Variety:5/5

Bar : No
VEG/Non Veg : Yes

Highly recommended...Enjoy the food with a good BURRP..

Great den for foodies

Metromix makes your day - have been here several times since it was inaugurated few months back. The food is great - so is the service.

Sachin breathes fusion cuisine and is passionate about inculcating a culture of fusion cuisine in Pune and outskirts. It has already redefined the food preferences of Kothrud - the fastest growing suburb in the world.

Don't forget to try Thai green curry with rice - it's out of this world. Ice cream with noodles is a dessert you will crave for.

Do visit with family and friends. You will relish the food and love the ambience.

great multi-cuisine place

I have been to Metromix at least 4 times now in the last 3-4 weeks - 2 take-outs and 2 dine-ins. I am very happy with the place. Here are my observations on the place:

1. Food - Metromix has a good menu with a nice mix of cuisines from around the world. Suits me perfectly to get italian and thai in the same place. I have tried starters, kiddies menu items (burgers, nuggets etc. Yes, they have a special kiddies menu :), thai and italian main courses and desserts. Found the food great. Thai green curry was beautiful and Pasta Nepolitan was great. Portions are very good.

2. Service - I found the staff very courteous and friendly. I have got to know the owner, Sachin, in my trips so far. Very friendly. My orders were taken quickly and the food was served in a reasonable time. Cleanliness and hygiene is good. Have not tried home delivery so far. Will update when I do try it out.

3. Price - Reasonably priced.

4. other factors - Ambiance is good and so is decor. Mario Miranda's painting on the wall gives a great feel. I was reminded of Cafe Mondegar in Mumbai. The place is small and cozy. I guess would sit ~40-50 people. The place is located on a wide street and ample public parking is available.

Also one promising thing that interested me most - They offer to bring you food that you love if it is not on the menu already. I have already put up demands for Thai Yellow Curry and Creme Brulee as well as discussed a dish I was fond of in the US but have not found on any menu anywhere since. I have also heard plans for weekend specials etc. So more to try out.
