It was the afternoon of 15th August and it was with some apprehension that I stepped out for lunch with family. The entrance to the restaurant is through Croma which was going through its annual sale and there was no space - both at the Parking and at the store. With trepidation I gingerly stepped onto the elevator to head directly to the first floor, with crossed fingers hoping I got a table without having to wait.
Surprisingly, none of the restaurants were crowded and I chose Lemon Grass Restobar having tried their Bandra place a couple of years back.

You might choose to agree or disagree, but either way, it’s food for thought. Sindhudurg has been a landmark in Dadar for Malwani food and I'd eaten here over 10 years back, carrying a satiated memory in my heart all these years.
However my experience in the recent past has been far from satisfied.

The best aspect of HFX is neither their new Large area nor their range of beauty/Spa services - Its their Staff.
Really friendly, patient, great at their job and not at all pretentious. They go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible, including getting you a sandwich from outside. They offer complimentary tea/ coffee/ mocktails while you wait. Their extensive menu of services features something for everyone, including hair, facial & spa treatments designed for women, men and teens.

On S.V. Road, Gokul is a landmark in Borivali, having been there for over 20 years.
3 sections- outdoor, indoor non A/C and the popular A/C section.
Clean, hygienic and quick meals including thali. Helpful waiters and a wide choice of items on the menu.
Having eaten here at least once every week, I would have to say that the people at Gokul give it their best day after day, and that's what brings the customers back, in droves. -

Very sad state of scene. Used to be a decent place but now this restaurant is completely run down.
Damp, peeling paint on the walls, not enough waiters and those that are there walk around pretending to be busy, without doing much. A long wait to even get a menu and a longer wait of 20 min to get your food - In an Udupi restaurant, can you believe that?
Tasteless food. Chole had whole chunks of garlic and the Bhaturas were cold. And do not order the Meduwada- its terrible, cold, tasteless and stale.
