As one enters the place the feel of the palce helps one to believe that the food will be great. Disappointment in store.. the food is average.
Had the chicken grill burger and it was cold and lame. The chicken by itself was tender.
The only surprise in the palce is a mayo dispenser with very good mayo.

A charming place with wooden tables and good jazz in the background, this is an excellent palace to hang out with friends or just sit by oneself in a corner with a good book.
Their assortment ranges from Indian to Chinese to what not. But more or less all is good. Their cakes are simply brilliant. Be it a carrot, lemon, banana or a Californian raisin cake, they all are delightful. Another thing that they make well is a cold ham sandwich not that anyone can go wrong in it, but the point being that the quality of ham is good.
One highlight of the place is the garlic bread loaf and trust me its one of the best you can find in Mumbai. The serve a whole range of drinks but I cannot muster the will power to not order the cold coffee.
The service at times is slow but the ambience and the general buzz of the place makes up for it.

I had not been to this place for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised to see the change.
The twin style seating – indoor and outdoor is relaxed but can get a bit too noisy at times. Although the outdoor is always a fave . They have live music never mind if it’s a one man show. The gentleman obliges to any requests if one should care to make.
The bar menu is above average but me being a martini loyalist can only comment on the martini and it was ok. They like most other bars in Mumbai do not understand the meaning of a very dry martini, sigh.
Since we were hungry we opted for one sizzler some 4 meat thing with all sorts of meats imaginable and a veg exotica which was smooth with excellently done cheesy creamy sauce.
The service staff is well trained and nice but I feel they are short staffed. But considering the fact that we had a lil monster with us, they were extra helpful to the extent of carrying him around while we ate in peace.
All in all for a pax size of 2 we paid around 1000/- which considering the experience was worth it.

After having been a total loyalist to their Chinese outlet I was amazingly disappointed by the café.
After having racked our brains to the hilt we decided to go to this Sunday brunch. Inspite of making reservation we were surprised to see that the person who had taken the request had forgotten to write it down. Well. We were given another table. So far so good.
The brunch had three types
Only food for 1000/- per person inclusive of taxes
Food and vodka based cocktails for 1200/- per person inclusive of taxes
Food and sparkling wine for 1000/- per person inclusive of taxes
We opted for the second one. And to our relief the bartender was the best I have ever met. A friendly person, quick to understand the needs and come up with excellent solutions. I am not a big cocktail buff but he had me hooked to this Spanish cocktail called Bronze. Smooth and potent.
The food was a major source of disappointment. The salads were sorry, the cold cuts were good but very few choices and they served caviar with a steel spoon, now need I say more?
The main course was equally depressing. The pasta with bolognaise sauce took over 20 minutes to be served and trust me I could only eat a forkful… so insipid. The roast lamb with peanut and cous cous was ok and the roasted pork with apricot was downright sorry. The only edible item was the chicken biryani.
The only silver lining to the food were the roast turkey (with a terrible cranberry sauce and a very good horse radish sauce) and the roast beef (with the brilliant brown sauce).
As for desserts they were trying some modified version of the Crêpe Suzette, but the crêpe was a tad too thick making it insipid. The chocolate walnut cake pieces with the flowing hot chocolate were good and the fresh fruit cake awesome.
Service 10 on 10 (it being sunday brunch the atmosphere was casual yet courteous.)
Food: 6 on 10

It’s a franchisee of the original LI at juhu. But no one can make out the difference.
Same décor with a mix of wood and creams although this one provided more privacy. I could swear that the food was made at juhu, same taste, presentation cutlery, crockery and even the coasters. The service was as immaculate as ever.
Umesh Mehta the man behind LI has set a completely new standard for food franchising in the country. Running an Italian chain on franchise model with such great detailing and consistency make a visit to LI a pleasure.
I got a call from LI Pune on my birthday offering me a good 25 % discount on the total bill. When I mentioned that I have shifted to Mumbai, the person promptly gave me the choice of LIs in Mumbai. Having asked my preference he informed me that he would communicate it to the restaurant. Now that’s called customer service.
Thanks to the workaholic man who pays for my bills, I could not go .
