best biryani in mulund
I have been to this place twice and have liked it on both occasions. Just went here last week with my family to celebrate my first salary. So the experience is quite fresh in my mind.
So this place is a single floored building located in front of mulund station near mcc college. It was friday evening and we were surprised not to find a seating for us (a group of 9). Many tables were reserved but eventually they found a big table for us within 10 minutes.
The interiors are nothing great but they are good. The lighting is quite good too considering it houses a bar too. Still this is a family restaurent and families do come in with small children as well. I noticed that the tablecloths and plates were not shining white as they should have been but looked clean though old.
The menu consists of all normal indian food you get everywhere. Plus they have added a new Thai menu as well.
For starters we ordered reshmi kebabs, seekh kebabs and a plate of prawns koliwada(5 plates in all). The reshmi kebabs were soft and nice, seekh kebabs were soft though a little strong flavored and the prawns were big n delicious.
Then came butter chicken(full), chicken kolhapuri and chicken hyderabadi(again 5 plates in all) along with 3 tokris of roti . The food was good and all dishes were cooked with chicken shreds.
Then followed 3 plates of biryani(which is always awesome) and a plate of khao phad koong(thai prawn fried rice).
The food was good and service was ok too. The prices here are around Rs.140 per dish which is not that expensive. Our bill came out to be Rs.3000 which wasnt much considering the amount of food we had.
I think this is one of the better restaurents in mulund. So do check it out.

This place is situated around sion circle near cineplanet multiplex. There are 2-3 restaurents i guess with the same name so first decide and find out which is the exact place u want to go.
Peninsula has a very vast classy interiors and a simple but nice seating arrangement. the service is excellent as well. The food is good and priced at reasonably high prices.
All in all, a good restaurent to go with ur family and friends.

I had been here on a sunday evening aroung 9 and was pleased to see that it wasnt crowded at all.
This place has a very nice elegant ambience with a nice circular arrangement of tables.
The menu here is limited though as compared to others( esp fish and vegetarian). But it is good.
The prices are little more than average though(i think around 300 bucks per dish).
We ordered some prawns and talli chacken(chicken marinated in tequila !!!) starters followed by pomfret gravy and chicken dehati finished by one chicken biryani. The food wasnt the best i have eaten but was decent.

The ragda-samosa(Rs.15 per plate) you get at this place are very very famous and a must-try.
But the other snack items are good too.
Besides all kinds of chat items you also get a decent thali at this place.
It gets very packed in the evening with all families marching in so you dont get a seat. Never mind the seat coz most of the poeple prefer having a standup meal.
If you ever happen to come near sies college in sion, do visit this place.

This place serves good fish food in this part of Mumbai. It is reasonably priced and food is good too. Service is very nice and the waiters do really assist you in placing order.
