Went there on the insistence of my colleague who heaped praises for the authentic good quality food.
Saravan Bhavan needs no introduction. I've eaten as several of their branches in India and abroad. But the unique experience for me was the Rasam in a mug. Not that it's mentioned like that on the menu. But when you order a rasam, it comes in a beer mug. I am not sure that you'll get it served similarly in their other branches.

These guys always carry full stock of the all the items they sell. I've been patronizing them for the past 8-10 months and never had a chance to complain.
The staff is very pleasant with the customers and the shop somehow gives good vibes.
They even give out a membership card that gets you a discount on medicine purchases.
Ordered Veggie frankies and a Tava pulao for dinner tonight. The packaging in which it came was very thoughtfully done. Someone did apply their minds on how to make it easy and non-messy for their customers to open the frankie box.

I went here for a late lunch on my trip to Bangalore. I reached there at about 4 pm along with 3 other colleagues from lunch. We were told that that kitchen is closed and were asked to sit outside. The weather was really pleasant so we didn't mind one bit.
We ordered a Fromaggi pizza, a Mediterranean pizza, a Pizza Rustica. I wanted a Ravioli, but they said they couldn't make it as the kitchen was closed, so I opted for a simple penne pasta in fresh tomato sauce. I am not sure, how they could even serve the stuff when the kitchen was closed.
