Umm, as i scratch my chin to write my views on this place, i am in a dilemma because i did not find too many interesting things out here.
Set in the old world shanty charms just like any Goan joint, they have a limited menu selection which definitely does not spoil you for choice. Food is authentically Goan I am told from regular visitors, but I am not an authority on that. All I can say is, it was plain and simple. The rice that comes along is super plain, not even a basmati which i could savour!!
Service levels were generally ok. There was only one waiter around, and the owner of the place. They all point towards the blackboard with the menu scribbled on it.
Like the previous writer before me says, go here only if you dont have elsewhere to go. Or else, go here if you genuinely appreciate Goan Food.

Now, this is the place my boss takes me to whenever he wants a working lunch. but ireadily agree, coz its some very good food that they serve our there. You'd read enough praises about the "Chicken Berry Pulao" they have out here. This is the dish i order most days i get here, and it comes with some nice tangy irani berry on top, and some nice fried chicken patty along with it ;)
the place has all the old world charm in the world. i am presuming they would have never done up the place or invested a single paisa in maintianing the place every after opening it aeons years ago. the only investment they make every year is to revise the prices on the menu upwards and print new menucards with these rates ;) such is the level of their "take it or leave it" arrogance that they are only open on weekdays, and that too, only 11-4 for lunch hours. so i remember making a trip from the suburbs long years back to get some food from here on a weekday
but go here if you are experimental and like some nice tangy food. the fresh lime soda is also good, so do try it out!
Bon appetit!

one of the many places close to office which i would have wanted to go to but never had the opportunity to get there in long! finally reached out for the famed sizzler, and found it to be an extremely affable and affordable place, with a lot of open air and a good ol parsi cafe touch and feel around here.
the food was good, though the service speed, inspite of calling for making it "fast" turned out to be slow. the portions served are smart portions, which means they are good enough for one and not too much food loaded on to your plate so that you cannot finish it ever. pricing is very reasonable too, food for 2 with softdrinks comes to 500 bucks.
got to go back to the place in the evening to try out the drinks and the beer! till then, keep burrrping!

I used to be fond of this joint once long ago, when they had the gentry coming in here for some good food at some honest prices. No wonder then, that the joint was always full, and when i felt like some Mughlai at some rockbottom prices, I'd take a trip here from Andheri allthe way to eat.
I got back here after more than 8 months or so to grab a bite over lunch. This place is now turning into a trashcan. All around you, one couldsee dirty plates and dishes overflowing on tables and not removed to the kitchen for a wash. they were all over the restaurant, and one look at the floors, and you'd realise that you had enough of tissues and dir and grime all over thefloors . Then, a server (i won't call him a waiter) walks up with his hands inside the water inside the glass in which he was going to serve me drinking water and leaves them for me to drink. I see dirty prints of his fingers on my glass and am so peeved that I willnot drink that water all together. And the crowd here has turned so sad, it feels i walked into some rickshawalahs and i was eating amongst them. I have even done that in my days up in North India, and I tell you even those guys were much better off.
I call for some chinese food, and I want to get out of there ASAP because I dont want to stand in a trashcan. Nevertheless, the food was tasteless this time, the environment messy, the prices hiked up, and the whole place was good for nothin. Talk about success going through your head. With this episode, I am not on for budget dining anymore. Dont ever get there again
