Personal Stuff

Favourite Foods
I am a foody, I have eaten in as many places as I can, all over Mumbai, and also some places around mumbai. I think I know these places in and out by now, since I eat outside food every 2nd day atleast once a day, for many years. I love to criticize for the SAKE of improvements. I know the difference between well priced and value for money. I dont own any restaurants, but I wish someday I will open one with my experience to visit so many, so many times. :))

Average Lounge Bar and Eatery

Hello

I don't have much to say, since there was nothing very special I could find about this place:
- nice place for friends to eat
- nice place for drinks
- they do have a dance floor area, so you can dance too while you eat
- they have a bar area for chilling out..if you don't want to have a sit-down meal/drinks

OVERALL: Little over average prices, for an Indian restaurant-chain to do so, example - 140 Rs. for onion rings + taxes, 60rs for bottled water + taxes

If TGI's or Ruby Tuesday are charging such prices, I can imagine GOVT taxes, and international taxes coming in on those prices, but for an Indian restaurant to charge this exorbitant is a little ridiculous. don't you think ?

- Interiors are a good copy/mix of TGI and Ruby Tuesday.

1. Q' How does our govt allow restaurants to charge so high for packaged products, like bottled water if sold for 12 or 15 rs, should not be sold for more than 30 Rs max, diet coke max 40rs (unlike 150+ tax in ruby Tuesday), (they are not cooking the water, nor the Diet Coke)

I think there should be some price control on packaged products in restaurants and even 5 stars.

OK - if you want the math, here goes:
15rs water
+ 12.5%
+ 20% Service charge (which only hotels are allowed, that too only if ordered from the room, no restaurants are allowed service charges)
====
19.87 RS - this includes VAT + Service Charges, then why are products like water/diet cokes, allowed to charge more than that?

Please let me know if you agree, and someone out there can take any action ?

Totally worth your SMILE on an occasion

Hello

I must say, "this small" place has earned a BIGGG HUGE NAME for itself today.

The stuff is great quality, exceptionally always FRESH... Hope they never increase the prices too high.. :))

Its very well priced too.

Its Sad but the CLASS of a 5 Star is no where near

Hello

I would only like to say something's about "China House Lounge / Clubbing experience"

- The A/c air conditioning SUCKS !! Its a hotel, and they can fix this in single day, (if this is the fault of bad inexperienced architect)
- But this has not yet been fixed inspite of several repeated complains
- The A/c sucks even more on the table/cubicle area which cost 30,000+ and still has NO A/c ?
- The DJ plays exactly the same music all over again, every time I have been there.. I don't know where he gets his "pathetic" "slow" "boring" music from. (or shud we call him a DJ)
- The managers look at you constantly in your FACE, its so embarrassing, if you are not ordering a drink, but just come to meet a few friends, DONT THEY KNOW, in mumbai if you are alone, you cannot drink and drive (many friends meet up at a Lounge/PUB/CLUB just to be with each other...and dont they know every one coming to this 5 START joint wud not be coming in a Auto-rickshaw

I don't understand how people who are from the highest CLASS and CREAM of Mumbai, go to such places and cant "abandon" because of lack of such a important service. And still hype this place to the level, that till today I have not been able to figure out how they distinguish between who they allow and who they don't allow to enter ?

Good but needs renovation

Hello

Yes no doubt good food (value for money), but boss there are 100 places to go in Lokhandwala for good food, so please renovate this place soon

- Try butter chicken (best in lokhandwala area)
- Try cream of chicken soup (best in lokhandwala area)
- Try chicken fried rice
- Try Fish /Prawn/ Chicken Thai Curry Green or Yellow (best in lokhandwala)

I don't own this place- but I have eaten "N" number of restaurants, and I have had tough luck finding better "butter chicken" or the items I mentioned above

Good, but not value for money

Hello

- Try chicken in cheesy sauce with pasta (ask for extra sauce in a separate bowl - tell them you love it, and you don't like the pasta too dry..)
- or Veg cheesy sauce with pasta
